Said no woman, ever.

Not even a little bit.

Emmitt to me was just a high volume RB that had insane durability. 15 years and he only finished 2 seasons with 4.5 YPC or more. Barry only had 2 seasons where he failed to reach 4.5 YPC or better on the year.

Emmitt only had 6 of his 15 seasons end with him averaging 90+ per game. Barry only had 2 seasons where he failed to average 90+ per game.
Barry’s last 3 PLAYOFF games he had -1 yards rushing, 40 and 65. Emmitt averaged 93 a game for the 17 he participated in. Barry’s average for his 6 was 64.

What's going on in Charlotte? Local Knoxville news saying multiple police officers were supposedly shot.

Absolutely tragic. Our police chief said the US Marshal task force was serving a warrant for felony gun possession so they had a big presence. POS opened fire with a high powered rifle.
Killed three marshals and wounded 5 officers, one is critical condition.
They killed the suspect.
I hope he's getting dicked by the Devil tonight.

Update: The CMPD officer died, making it four. So sad.

Totally different personality from the coach, too. I don't wish him ill at all, but I am scratching my head about this one a little.
Agreed. Maybe their coach thought they needed some real grit. They have been soft in the tournament despite their high seeding.

That tweet made me just search vitello’s name on Twitter just to see what is being said.

Perception of Tennessee baseball as a program is still that of having bottom tier facilities and resources. I’ve seen Miss St, Ole Miss and ironically Arkansas fans (when DVH retires) clamoring to hire him.

Miss St fans can’t fathom him saying no, the only fans that say no is simply because they don’t want him due to his antics.

Ole Miss fans are split. Some say he’ll never leave Tennessee, others say he’s waiting for the “big SEC job” like them to get out.

Arkansas fans are utterly convinced he’s waiting to take the Arkansas job when DVH retires. Essentially believing he’s a HC in waiting there while coaching another program.

I also posted this in the baseball forum but I think it’s funny enough to share here too. I famously thought LSU could lure him away in 2021, but now that he’s essentially gotten a blank check to do whatever he wants here, while simultaneously being a king in Knoxville with an established top 10 program.. I see no reason why he’d ever leave.

Not to mention he doesn’t have an agent. Unusual in this day and age, but true. Guys who don’t have agents typically have no plans on relocating any time soon.
Update (also posted in baseball forum): Texas fans have entered the “Hire Vitello” discourse.

Unsurprisingly, they also believe he would never say no to them. Texas, like LSU is one of the only teams that would scare me if they called. But that’s for the same reasons LSU scared me in 21. Unlimited tradition, money and resources.

Knowing a little more about Tony’s personality from then to now, though. I think his unwavering loyalty is primarily why he’d say no, as they could probably outspend us if they wanted. But also I think the prospect of being the guy who built a program that will surely eventually have facilities, streets or even the stadium named after him (if this trajectory continues) is more appealing than just being another in a long line of great coaches at Texas. Especially now that the program is built and he only has to maintain it from here.
