Food only. Pals is a laudable business. Not their food though. But there's a place for cheap food, and they fill that space well.

To my point about profit. They are very profitable, and have a looow operating expense, despite paying employees decently well. You know food costs will be low, ergo quality poor.

Ya, I agree. Freddy's competes (only place I know that uses beef fat for their fries instead of oil), but I'd still put Five Guys ahead. Everyone else beyond Freddy's isn't even close.

Can someone tell me why Wesley Walker transferred out?? I have a friend in Mich. that’s curious about him and asking me if he’s any good..he said he was the leading tackler as a sophomore..it’s been a minute since this was discussed..lol

I cannot even stand walking by it. The sheer smell in an airport pushes me to opposite end of concourse.

On my last trip to Cali, we might connecting flights. Five Guys was only option. I sat patiently while the wife ate her burger on the plane. Things we do for love

Also deathly allergic to peanuts.

Issue here was competition. Louisville seemed to land a lot of our guys, but not keep them. Barron fits that so I would not guess why he rentered after them. He has SEC starts and a lot of experience so he has value to someone. He is a depth piece for a good unit, but a likely starter for a depleted unit.

Never tried one. A visit to Portillo's means Italian beef every time, in my world.

And the crazy thing is that Portillos isn’t the best Italian Beef in Chicago and it’s really good. Italian beef is an amazing sandwich.

I even had one at Wrigleyville Dogs and it was amazing there too.

We’ve had Rosatti’s for quite awhile now and they had a very good Italian Beef, but they slipped big time in quality.

Yes, in fact. I love them. Like Bison or Elk burgers best.

I grew up in JC. The best burgers were arguably made by the Kalogeros'. Or, if you wanted to slap Steve Spurrier's brother five at the Horseshoe...good burger.

Gary has passed, but the Son's and Grandsons now run...
Bacon, Gouda, and Fried Egg. Lettuce, tomato, and Red Lettuce. Little Mustard, ketchup.


However, best is Gourmet and Company. Benton's bacon, cheddar, and garlic aioli.

Runner up is the Drunken Goat at Label.
