No doubt man, but as a dad who has flipped his cool before in a situation I am not going to condemn that cop to hell. This is too high profile for the truth not to come out and I am sure that cop is going to have a very bad day either way. His boss has heat now so he has heat even if he had been right. If you're a cop that can't operate in stressful situations, you have no business being a cop.
If the facts as reported are true, this was a major blunder, and several police officers had the opportunity to hit the pause button and give time for level heads to prevail. And when it comes to our personal rights and the fair application of laws for/on the citizens, hindsight blame is very important, else we end up with brownshirt thugs and tyranny. Again, if you can't operate with level heads, sans ego, in stressful situations, get back in the coal mines.
If the facts as reported aren't true, I hope the truth comes out. Like I said, if Scottie tried to run over a police officer to get to a tee time, then lock him up. Otherwise, it sounds like an ego-and-adrenaline-fueled officer escalated from a slow moving car in the median, and a bunch of other officers failed to slow things down. And it sounds like a police officer has lied in order to fabricate more charges against a free citizen.
I imagine the behind-the-scenes will look similar to every angry police captain scene from every action movie since "Lethal Weapons" and "Last Action Hero".
"You did... what?!!!!!!!"
Never tried one. A visit to Portillo's means Italian beef every time, in my world. When they expand Chicago staple Portillo’s into your burgh Doc, do yourself a favor and nab a burger. They’re famous for their Italian Beef sandwiches, but I followed my wife’s lead and added a burger to my order…and ain’t looking back! Their crinkle cut fries and onion ring game are elite also.
I don't disagree. Haven't condemned him to hell, but if he's abused his position to lie and trump up felony charges, he needs to be in the unemployment line, whether we feel he's underpaid or not. If he flipped his **** then he needs to be reprimanded, whether we feel he's underpaid or not. If he shows a pattern of inability to calmly respond to things like slow moving cars in the median, then he needs to be in the unemployment line. Whether we feel he's underpaid or not.No doubt man, but as a dad who has flipped his cool before in a situation I am not going to condemn that cop to hell. The funny part is we pay cops and teachers about the same. We demand high EQ (emotional intelligence) in both, but high EQ has proven to be one of the biggest predictors of income. So why would high EQ people go into low income jobs...
Uh, you need to google Malcolm Baldridge before you put your foot in your mouth next time.Restaurant awards are pretty LOL. Voted the "best restaurant in America" by the James Beard Foundation 2 years ago was Chai Pani in Asheville, moving onto my block currently. All I can say is, it isn't the best...even in its own city. Awards are bought. I'll leave it there.
Any law that could be construed that way is a danger to the republic. Ayn Rand actually prophesied those types of laws in Atlas Shrugged.Cant assaulting an officer mean just about anything? I mean, if the officer is rigid, young, and or just a deek. Could just as easily pull a Pat Adams and Tee the guy up for breathing his oxygen.
Point is there's always two sides.
Pal and his son (which is now run by a young CEO - Haslam CoB grad), made it a point to only grow the business regionally.I first tried Pals a year and a half ago, at age 65. Me and wife both love it, for what it is, a fast food restaurant. And nothing against Cookout, but we both like Pals more than Cookout.
