If you're a cop that can't operate in stressful situations, you have no business being a cop.

If the facts as reported are true, this was a major blunder, and several police officers had the opportunity to hit the pause button and give time for level heads to prevail. And when it comes to our personal rights and the fair application of laws for/on the citizens, hindsight blame is very important, else we end up with brownshirt thugs and tyranny. Again, if you can't operate with level heads, sans ego, in stressful situations, get back in the coal mines.

If the facts as reported aren't true, I hope the truth comes out. Like I said, if Scottie tried to run over a police officer to get to a tee time, then lock him up. Otherwise, it sounds like an ego-and-adrenaline-fueled officer escalated from a slow moving car in the median, and a bunch of other officers failed to slow things down. And it sounds like a police officer has lied in order to fabricate more charges against a free citizen.

I imagine the behind-the-scenes will look similar to every angry police captain scene from every action movie since "Lethal Weapons" and "Last Action Hero".

"You did... what?!!!!!!!"
No doubt man, but as a dad who has flipped his cool before in a situation I am not going to condemn that cop to hell. This is too high profile for the truth not to come out and I am sure that cop is going to have a very bad day either way. His boss has heat now so he has heat even if he had been right.

The funny part is we pay cops and teachers about the same. We demand high EQ (emotional intelligence) in both, but high EQ has proven to be one of the biggest predictors of income. So why would high EQ people go into low income jobs...

Cant assaulting an officer mean just about anything? I mean, if the officer is rigid, young, and or just a deek. Could just as easily pull a Pat Adams and Tee the guy up for breathing his oxygen.

Point is there's always two sides.
For sure. I was just shocked this even was a thing.

When they expand Chicago staple Portillo’s into your burgh Doc, do yourself a favor and nab a burger. They’re famous for their Italian Beef sandwiches, but I followed my wife’s lead and added a burger to my order…and ain’t looking back! 😳 Their crinkle cut fries and onion ring game are elite also.
Never tried one. A visit to Portillo's means Italian beef every time, in my world.

Pretty sure it's the first elite 8 in school history. Also Texas was the #2 overall.

Girls play tomorrow I think. They upset the undefeated #1 team in S16.
I thought we made it to the Finals not that long ago. I definitely could be wrong on this one.

All this talk of Pals and Cookout. Groce. Five Guys is far and away the best fast food burger place. Everyone else is competing for a distant second place.

@ me if you want, but you are wrong.

I don't disagree. Haven't condemned him to hell, but if he's abused his position to lie and trump up felony charges, he needs to be in the unemployment line, whether we feel he's underpaid or not. If he flipped his **** then he needs to be reprimanded, whether we feel he's underpaid or not. If he shows a pattern of inability to calmly respond to things like slow moving cars in the median, then he needs to be in the unemployment line. Whether we feel he's underpaid or not.

If I own a fast-food restaurant and have an employee that can't scoop fries or talk to customers, they'll be out of a job whether they feel underpaid or not.

Restaurant awards are pretty LOL. Voted the "best restaurant in America" by the James Beard Foundation 2 years ago was Chai Pani in Asheville, moving onto my block currently. All I can say is, it isn't the best...even in its own city. Awards are bought. I'll leave it there.
Uh, you need to google Malcolm Baldridge before you put your foot in your mouth next time.

Any law that could be construed that way is a danger to the republic. Ayn Rand actually prophesied those types of laws in Atlas Shrugged.

I first tried Pals a year and a half ago, at age 65. Me and wife both love it, for what it is, a fast food restaurant. And nothing against Cookout, but we both like Pals more than Cookout.
Pal and his son (which is now run by a young CEO - Haslam CoB grad), made it a point to only grow the business regionally.

Pal's continues to put money into its Nationally recognized culinary training program. They built a location last year on John B Dennis, and that was considered substantial for them.

Cookout has 326 locations. Pals has 30.

Pals is continuing to pour more money into its training facility. And, based on information ive gathered will continue to do that. They have 0 desire to grow beyond that. Id say as long as Rick is alive the legacy will stay in tact.

Additionally they do so much with their marketing through Eastman, and be the best Regional brand they can be. They are extremely proud of this, to a point where they created a brand called Creative Energy. Lauds itself as a premier marketing company, that competes with razor thin budgets.

Anyway, their business model continues to be extremely conservative. Finding ways to cut operational costs instead of generate revenue, such as having one of the fastest times from order to finish.

Really an interesting company. Theyve been a client for years. In fact they routinely host visitors from other, larger companies at their facility next to Eastman, to show them examples of their Nationally Recognized training program.

Good people.

Long and short, comparing Cookout to Pals is apples and bananas.

I'm going to camp on to this analysis and take it in another direction to support the forum's previous conclusions!

College sports officials are paid very little. Therefore based on the findings of this analysis, that would indicate they have very low "EQ."

VolNation has said for years that officials posses intelligence at the level of an average Alabama fan and character at the level of an average Florida fan. So Scottie Scheffler getting arrest proves that VolNation is right AND officials are corrupt, incompetent nimrods (no offense Chas).
