My absolute favorite! I think he should narrate any and all Tennessee videos…I was just looking at the VOLeaders program at the UT site and found this photo of Admiralin Vietnam on the program trip his year. What a guy!

Admiral's narration of what the Okies said about Neyland was so great.
Yes, but they did not have an SEC logo in DKR before. They are in direct competition with the schools in the SEC now. Same could be true for OU.That TX oil money has always been there yet they don’t sign #1 classes.
I hope X pulls it off and finally breaks through...but..finishing seems to be a big problem for him. When I first remember really noticing him that year when and after he had that ToC win in Hawaii I would have sworn he was going to be a multiple major winner by now.Pulling for Xander to break through. Good chance there will be a playoff given the people within a few shots of the lead.
I love that place. Look at that white sand.View attachment 641662
Cheers from the Redneck Riviera !!
Back at you. No, really. Not to get too serious here, but I'll always remember when I was going through my cancer ordeal a few years ago. Tough times. You frequently, out of nowhere, asked how it was going. And I'll always appreciate it.You continue to be one of my favorite posters![]()
I remember Keith Jackson doing an Oklahoma St game for ABC sports. He made an opening comment along the lines of “let’s see if Barry Sanders is as good as advertised“Semi-rant incoming:
The NFL Network has a series called "NFL Throwback". They're basically 30 minute highlight reels for a player's career. I just watched the Barry Sanders episode. About all his highlights are either of him getting pursued behind the line and getting away or cutting back at the line of scrimmage. He had very little help from the offensive line, Detroit didn't have much of passing threat (they had a bunch of scrubs at QB during his era), and the defense pretty much knew Sanders was getting the ball on most plays. He was the definition of a "1 man show". His biggest help was WR Herman Moore blocking down field.
Barry Sanders is the best RB to ever play the game.
End rant
And he retired with the all time rushing record within reach. I'm a Green Bay fan, but I always pulled for Barry Sanders. He was my favorite non GB player and a once in a lifetime talent.I remember Keith Jackson doing an Oklahoma St game for ABC sports. before the game was over “well folks he is!!”
I think it was John Madden who said “defensive players don’t make fun of one another when they whiff on tacking Barry cause they know they could be next“
If he wouldn’t been on a contending team for his career![]()
