Recruiting Football Talk VII

Tennessee could be an Independent school
and they would still have a Top 15 class because of the tradition and the recruiting hotbed they are smack dab in the middle of
So last year when we finished 14th (247 sports), that was just tradition and hotbed? Heupel and staff didn’t add much? In 2022 we finished 17th. How did the coaches make it worse than our natural spot? If we’re top 15 just based on tradition and hotbed location, you’d think good coaches would have us top 7-8 consistently.

Uhmm...uh...uhhmmm....😵‍💫
😂
I listened to some of it. The guy obviously has some brains. I'm not sure how much of his stuff should be taken seriously and how much of it is absolute coo-coo though.

He's all over the place too. Just constant talking. He seems to love hearing himself. Constantly changing the subject. It's like he swallowed a bottle of adderall about 30minutes before the show. . .

It is kinda hard to take someone serious when they tell you their first memory is falling from the sky and landing in their mother's womb in the 1st 30 seconds.

He definitely is a guy who is gonna let his mind drive him absolutely crazy in the next few years. . . Howard Hughes style madness.

Either way, it's interesting to see what someone's mind can do and the things they come up with and convince themselves is true. I think there have been geniuses who've had some really good ideas/discoveries, but who also had a whole library full of ridiculously insane ideas.

There have been some people with egos that have convinced them that they are god-like geniuses too. They come up with a bunch of junk ideas that sound intelligent to the average person, but when someone in the field disects their claims, it falls completely apart. I kinda feel like a lot of his stuff falls in this category.

I fell asleep before he started talking about his invention for zero-point energy. . . could be genius, could be madness, 😂

Y’all can hate on Burns all you want, but We needed him this season
Can't take away the fact that Burns is a talented player but why do we NEED him? We are top 5 in ERA and we've been without one of our best pitchers since March. Who is coming back for tourney play by the way. Just because we are playing by committee doesn't mean we suck lol

so it begins lol

(I don’t think he takes that job if it comes open unless they pony up an irrational amount of cash we wouldn’t match)

I think tony is currently 2nd highest paid coach in the country. So that number would have to be basketball coach level

Edit: tony is 4th. Corbin makes 2.4, Bianco makes 1.6m, shloss makes 1.55 and tony makes 1.5

Vitello is gonna be the highest paid coach in the country by August. . . one way or another.

Usually I would agree about conference tournaments are meaningless but this year this may not be true.

Kentucky and Tennessee are so close for the top overall seed in NCAA tournament, I believe the committee will see who wins or goes farther in SEC tournament.

So I'm saying just win the damn thing and leave no doubt.

those lazy sacks had the tourney bracket made last week. this week is a paid week off.

All these teams talking **** about Tony Vitello and the Vols and how they are dirty, low down, arrogant cheaters and he is responsible for it...

...only to form an orderly line every year to grovel for his services.

Pathetic.
Ole Miss, Texas, Miss St, South Carolina, and Arkansas (post DVH) have all said they should hire him on varying social medias that I’ve seen
