Yea, it just seems like weekend pitching isnt what it used to be, probably because we’ve been top notch in previous years, but still seems like a slump

Listen buddy, the Tennessee team I watched Sat. is the most balanced Tennessee I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of them. Offensively not a hole in the lineup, defensively solid to elite everywhere. I have never looked out on a Tennessee team and seen at least a half dozen can't miss major leaguers. Make no mistake this team is freakin' good. In the previous years you are pining for, we had holes.
Baseball is not a game of momentum and peaking, it is a numbers game and of consistency. You may drop one today but get them tomorrow. WGWTFA.

There is no tiebreaker for SEC regular season, a tie is a tie. We do have the tiebreaker for the tournament seeding.

My question is why are we sharing the title with Kentucky? Yes we had the same record but we beat them 2 out of 3 head to head.

One possible reason is there are only 10 of possible 13 matchups in conference play meaning teams don’t necessarily play the same teams from the opposite division. That being said would you accept runnerup if KY had taken the series from UT and both had the same record at the end?

I've listened to a lot of baseball games on the Tennessee athetics app this season. John Wilkerson does a great job on the calls. IMO he should be doing football also.

I guess I don't truly understand college baseball... We're ranked #1 in the country, we just won the SEC regular season (we beat KY head to head), and we have the most series wins in the SEC..................... Yet I am watching the Arky vs TAMU baseball game and they are discussing the best teams in the SEC and country for the tourney and they aren't even mentioning TN, instead they are only talking about having to face Arky, KY, and even LSU.................. NO mention of UT.......

Same with C Mo and SEC POY--- they are throwing out like 4 guys, (they do include CM) like it's a debate, yet CM has better stats across the board than any of them and they play in the conference and basically the same schedule...

WTF am I missing here other than per usual, no one has any respect for UT.........


The only thing positive I've heard is the women's announcers during our softball game saying if the LadyVols continue hitting like they have been, they most likely will be hoisting up the trophy when it's all said and done.

I don't think you understand the depth of the hatred the rest of the country has for Tennessee. There is no area, and it's not just UT, that Tennessee is not winning (except traffic). It is hard for the "beautiful people" of the country to believe that backwards illiterate hillbillies are kicking their asses in everything. And they are moving here in droves. I really can't stand them either to tell truth.
