Anyone that has ever paid attention to college sports at all knows the difference between Tennessee and Georgia Tech.

If what you’re saying is true, then how does Clemson do well in the ACC but Georgia Tech does not??
UT and GA Tech were never comparable so enough with that please…

Notre Dame can land top 15 classes as an Independent but Tennessee can’t????

We would still play Alabama, but then also play Notre Dame every year if we were an Independent.

I don't like the whole "SEC, SEC, SEC" and "It just means more" garbage. We know it means more and the rest of the SEC can kiss my a$$. And it is real irritating when I tune in to Finebam to hear the bammers whine after a loss and there's all these callers from Missouri, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey and such talking about their teams like anyone gives a crap.

Yesterday was a perfect sports day.
Xander won which means Bryson lost, LV'S won and Nellie Korda won again on the LPGA.

And lastly, and as a life long Cardinals fan, they lost again. As I see it the only way my Cards are gonna be good again is for them to fire the prez Mozeliak and the current manager..

The only example of this is Georgia Tech, which was a southern powerhouse until they left the SEC. Look where they are now. Same would happen to UT or any other SEC school not named Alabama. Tech thought with their swagger and reputation that outside the SEC they would become the Notre Dame of the South in the 1960’s. Sorry, Bobby Dodd.

We are the SEC. Tennessee would not leave the SEC, the SEC would have to leave and we would still be the SEC. The allusion to GT is funny, they were and always will be a "Vandy" school. Powerhouse my a$$.

I almost didn't go to the game today because of the weather this AM and what the forecast was showing. Glad I went. SEC Champs

Proud Dad moment:

My daughter did something I explicitly told her not to do this past weekend. She called me from a local swap meet/flea market to tell me there was a booth selling some puppies who didn't look so good. I told her not to bring home any sick animals......... And she completely ignored me and brought home the sickest pup of the bunch.

I've put off posting this because the pup was in bad shape. They were asking $100 but she pointed out the sick baby and offered $20. They gave it to her and she brought it home. She was eat up with worms, bacterial gut infection and fleas. We put her up in the living room and kept her away from all our other animals. We took her to our vet the next day. She got an IV, wormer and some meds. They told us to keep her hydrated and if she made it the next 24 hours she had a chance. It was touch and go for a few days but the last couple of days she has completely turned around.

She did exactly what I would have done..... Even when I asked her not to...... She made the right choice. And she's paid for all of it out of her own pocket. She goes to school, cheers and is the only senior coordinating the cheer team for a small until school squad and works about 25 hours a week. She amazes me, is the most empathetic person I know and is better with people than I could ever be.

This young woman has decided she wants to do pre vet courses at Tenn tech or UT Martin and attend UTK veterinary school.

Juno, is what she's named this pup, she's Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix...... The first life my daughter has saved. Good Lord willing there will be many more to come.......View attachment 641905

Bluegill would definitely work on any type of bread/carrier. Try grilling bluegill while basting with mayo. You have to scale and leave the skin on, but it is so good.

I know plenty about SEC history, in fact I've lived most of it, the rest I heard told by my daddy. The Bobby Dodd years were good, there's John Heisman, and GT had some good teams in the modern era. But in the days of champions being decided on the field, they are nothing.
They are comparable to Vandy (and Swanee for that matter) in many ways, high academics and good in football when dinosaurs roamed. They are in no way comparable to Tennessee, who has been a cornerstone of college football, a hundred years ago and today.
