Another Celtic I detested and now properly appreciate. I bought a book in the late 80’s that had fundamentals perfected by different stars and his example was securing a defensive rebound and the outlet pass. Helped me function in some pickup games. Def RIP venerable and wise Deadhead.

I can somewhat sympathize. My wife and I became permanent guardians of one of my son's friends last year. He just turned 12 and has been with us a little over a year. It's probably a little easier in our case with him being younger, but it has taken a lot of patience to bring him out of his shell and get him to follow along with an actual routine. The moments where we can tell he's comfortable and happy remind us of the light that's at the end of the tunnel and make everything worth it. I think he's finally realized that we're really there for him and are just trying to help him.

My nephew was dealt a bad hand in life. I'm just trying to teach him that it doesn't have to define who he is, or is going to be. He has the mindset that the whole world is against him right now, so he's always confrontational. There's just a lot of barriers to break down to get him to a place of positivity.
