By design in the US. The system needs their parents to work sunup to sundown, so lets get their teens on the road asap so parents don't have to drive them to school and pick them up anymore.

That's a stretch. We have a school bus system pretty much everywhere. My mom stayed at home and she wanted me on the road asap anyway.

I agree with this. I think it's because there are so many truly bad drivers. When you consider how many people die due to cars every year, it's wild that we kind of shrug and go "better let 15 year olds try 'em."

So has anyone confirmed if Russell is out for the remainder of the season or is there a chance that he may be able to pitch when we make it to Omaha? I mean, seriously I don't want the kid to do any permanent damage, but is his newer injury something where he would have the entire offseason to recover? Again, not suggesting the kid hurt himself worse, but if it's a matter of just soreness... I know he'd love to be able to get back on the mound before we hoist the trophy...
