That whole Delmonico bloodline man.

All great players.
One of my best friends was recruited by Delmonico…. He played on Delmonicos all-star team that played in Bill Mayer stadium and had a 92 mph fastball but he chose marriage instead… My friend was an idiot! 😂

A portion of the money does, not all of it. Still yet 25 percent is better than nothing.( Example) Don't know exact percentage.

Stand corrected split between all 8 teams so yes it's for a good cause, yet let's not act like the bar made no money..
Should we be mad if they did? It's not like there's some false pretense here. I hope they made out like bandits. And I hope the food bank was blessed beyond measure. Both things can be true.

Capitalism at its finest.

Bro!..he sucks under pressure with anyone on base..has zero tricks in his bag..scouting report strictly says.”curveball pitcher” and more times than not leaves one hanging over the zone and it’s sent to the moon or a RBI…great kid and appreciate what he’s done for the vols but a spade is a spade😂😂 I’d give anything to have Redmond Walsh Back in this World Series run versus Kirby…night and day difference..Redmond was cold blooded under pressure
You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Well the 2 years that I actually attended Walters State in Morristown, Chris Freeman pitched at WS then went to Tennessee.

Freeman got drafted in MLB and I majored in Billiards.🧐

This college world series run means a lot to me…. I have been there for many baseball moments:
1. Todd Heltons first game
2. was at a UT baseball game the day the blizzard of 93 hit.
3. Many Todd Helton Homeruns
4. Bubba Trammell
5. Chris Burke
6. Saw Luke Hochevar pitch in a regional
7. Saw many other future pros play.
8. Was there during the bad Raleigh years
9. Spent many a day making fun of Dave Serrano’s team… they were so small(didn’t look like athletes.)

How many fans on this site followed UT baseball before TV and when did you start supporting them?

First UT sporting event I went to was baseball. I remember as a 3rd grader watching them play ETSU at Cardinal Park.
I still remember the game went into extras, but I really wanted JP Arencebias autograph, we had to leave but in between innings we went down to the dugout and my dad gave my hat to Coach Simcox who got JP to sign it so we could leave.

I went to some games back in the early 80s during the Whited years, but I didn’t really follow the program closely. I remember Rusty Ensor. They were actually decent, then.

I paid attention in the Delmonico years, but mostly just through the postseason. Certainly nothing like now. It’s just different; charismatic coach, great players, lots of personalities, and you can watch every game (which makes a big difference).
