I think last year’s Pitt team was considerably better than this year’s Florida team, though last year Tennessee was also considerably better than they are this year.Does anyone feel like this season is somewhat mirroring last year? Florida this year was our Pitt game last year, though that team overcame a poor performance. Maybe this South Carolina game was our LSU from last year and we’ll be really good going forward
Ray Davis got a lot of that 300+ in steady chunks with steady push from that OL. We have not been susceptible to that style THIS SEASON with our DL…at least so far. That should get beta tested with our next two opponents, but I’m not as concerned as I have previous seasons. We've not been dominant or consistent though... Florida had 183 rushing yards and South Carolina (last in the SEC in rushing) had 132 both were over 4 YPC too.
Now to be fair in each game we allowed one big run, Florida had Etienne hit a 62 yarder and South Carolina had Anderson pop a 75 yard run.
Kentucky is averaging 6.5 YPC a game, but the competition has been questionable and Florida got gashed... the Gators are just an atrocious road team though so who knows if Kentucky's performance is about them more or about the Gators no-showing when outside the swamp. Before that game Florida's rushing defense was top 3 in conference holding teams to 82 yards a game...
“Our game was important to them this year. Therefore, it must be the most important game on their schedule.” is logic you only see from a fanbase that is desperate for relevance.![]()
I guess Rattler said the game was like UT's Super Bowl?

Levis was a much better qb than LearyAbout that...we get Kensucka** at Grocery Store field this year, and they seem to be a much better team this year now that they have their good OC Coen back, and a better QB than the can'o'corn they ran out there last year.
That is going to be a tough game to win.
Georgia has had a bye season, another week off won't benefit them that much. The only team we truly catch in a bad spot for us is UGA. They will be rested and have Bowers and McConkey ready to roll.
It's nice that it's a home game for us - we need them to start slow.
I like where we are playing A&M.
And I like where we are playing Bama - even on the road. But we have not looked good on the road except for that LSU game. This needs to be a day time game where we jump out early - running and being effecient on offense.
Seemed pretty consistent and dominant in the game I mentioned. . . aside from 1 long run and maybe a couple others plays. We've not been dominant or consistent though... Florida had 183 rushing yards and South Carolina (last in the SEC in rushing) had 132 both were over 4 YPC too.

Thought they could have called it on a couple of our guys, it looked like we tackled then center immediately once he broke the line of scrimmage. The block in the back appeared to be in the middle of the field before or as Dee caught the punt. In one sense, it was unnecessary. In another, do you throw the flag? I don’t think that guy was tackling Dee.
Saban used to rip Kiffin an new one every time alabama had to punt and no one caredI know lots of people hate Deion Sanders...but which is a worse look as a HC ...Sanders being Sanders with all the quotes and antics...or Trent Dilfer cursing his coaches out on sidelines of a Nationally Televised game?![]()
Hopefully we will have a healthy Elijah Simmons to plug the middle for those games, which will be huge. Game plan should be the same for both. Play man coverage and stack the box. Make both QBs throw to beat you. Have a spy for Milroe.Tennessee’s pass defense is better than their rush defense statistically. Kentucky and Alabama’s inability to pass doesn’t make them any more or less beatable to us
