They live in a nice home, but it's a little Compaq with the new kids. They asked that iPhone from time to time to keep in touch, but it's weird being friends with an android. . . though bits of our conversations can be electric. . . almost not worth the trouble because their dog bytes.

Has a coach ever quit mid-season to take another job?

Don’t know enough to say no. Petrino is an example of a coach jetting from the NFL to college mid-season…but I don’t think he took over until the season ended.

If Michigan State doesn't announce new coach soon could they be waiting till season's end to announce Mark a stoops?

Michigan State seems like a good fit for him..

Would add that Stoops Kentucky buyout is hefty enough to trigger heart palpitations for Michigan State accountants.

we have tried to pie that idiot off on any opening for 10 years, and he sticks to KY...because? He knows he will be in absolute ruination anywhere else. Sucky pays him with Kroger GC's, and he plays TN once a year, that's it.

Why leave? Unless the SEC forces SC, MO, and Ky to play actual non JUCO teams, they will continue to 10 wins.

Texas Techs current HC was OC at Baylor(or some other Texas school) and left mid-season to start working on building a staff/recruiting.

There hasn’t been a HC to do it yet

The question is if he thinks UK will be happy being where they are forever. They probably should be, but if they thinks they could get restless with 7-8 win seasons when the SEC goes up to 9 conference games he may decide to cash in. UK might be one of the programs hurt the most when they scrap divisions

I may be biased but other than 'history', I don't see why top coaches would go to Alabama. Not the best state for recruiting and Tuscaloosa is not all that (in the middle of Alabama).

Sad, but you need at least a representative fanbase…numbers wise. As a lifetime Braves fan, I long ago recognized that our “nation”’has enough widespread support to flourish but pales to the rabid hordes that follow the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Cubs and Cardinals. I’m prolly missing a beast cult but those are the most glaringly obvious. Like your kin, there are fans every bit as passionate and loyal as those examples in every team fanbase…just not as many of them.
