Don't understand how Djokovic is behind Federer and Serena. He's the GOAT of men's tennis now. If they're going to rank a tennis player that high he should be No. 2. He's got more majors than Serena already and is still playing. He also racked up most of his majors while competing head-to-head with Federer and Nadal, who are generational talents themselves and would be considered the GOAT if they weren't all three playing at the same time.
Peak Federer was better

Well it's ESPN, so the list is as much politically driven and clickbait driven as actual accomplishments.

I think Biles at 7 is a bit high, she's had great success at the World games but her 4 Olympic golds is 2nd in US history for gymnastics (men & women) and her total Olympic medal count has her well outside the top 100 all-time list.

Phelps though stands at the top for most medals as well as most golds if you're talking about the Olympics the conversation for "best" starts with him imo.

A few other athletes I could see a case being made being higher than Biles from the Olympic pool specifically. Mark Spitz, Carl Lewis, Jenny Thompson, Matt Biondi, & Allyson Felix.

Also I see their list isn't US only, to have Simone as the highest ranked Gymnasts is kind of crazy. Larisa Latynina holds the record for the most Olympic gold medals by a gymnast, male or female, with 9. Her total of 18 Olympic medals was a record for 48 years. She held the record for individual event medals for over 52 years, winning 14.
If you look at specifically Olympics that’s fair. That said, Biles gets it for her ridiculous dominance at worlds. 2.5x as many golds as second place is crazy.

I hate Novak. But I agree with you. You probably gotta put him at the top of the male Tennis players 🤮

I just can't take any records super seriously if they're based on judges' opinions of who performed better. It's already been proven that Russia has tampered successfully with judges before, so it stands to reason any competition that's based on subjective scoring is fallible.

Nothing against Simone, she's phenomenal and deserves all the accolades; but not above athletes who objectively dominated like Phelps or Serena or any other actual sport where scores aren't based on opinions.

Fair point. One reason I always enjoy track & field and regular swimming the most. Nothing but times and distances to decide.

Yeah I understand that. It's also fair to argue that Biles' dominance is well above any judging weirdness margin-of-error.

Interesting. I definitely would have guessed the Big 12 had the most close games. Feels like at the beginning of the year they always have 6 or so teams with reasonable odds to win the conference. The SEC certainly features the most competitive games that actually have playoff implications.

Sorry Fam - Happy Friday

July 19, 2924: The issues you have faced over the past months will begin to be resolved. Do not underestimate the seriousness of what you have endured, but now is the time to rise above it. Take the next step, and move on with renewed strength and hope. Psalm 113:2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore!

Man we could have a pretty stacked 25 class. Sitting at 12th right now with 17 commits... quite a few 4/5 stars we're still heavily involved with that could help push our ranking into top 10 easily... Would say depending on how final ratings go for players we're still within reach of a top 5 finish in recruiting if we land most the high rated guys still interested.

Exciting times!

I refuse to believe y'alls sarcasm meter is that broken 😂.
The point of blue font is that if you don’t use it, the board should assume that you are saying something that you really believe. I read your post and thought, “Jesus, it seems sarcastic but he didn’t use the blue font so he must be serious. Yikes.” Lol

That leg injury is a really hard one to overcome. His biggest issue is that he can't play enough tournament rounds to give his game a chance to get back into a competitive form. The guy just can't handle walking the course that much. I think he had a few more wins left in him before that wreck. I know he's not really competitive, but I'm still impressed with what he's done considering the circumstances.
I’m starting to wonder if he is only playing in the majors to kind of stay somewhat competitive in form and waiting to turn 50. I wonder when he turns 50 if he doesn’t play more on the senior tour where he can ride a golf cart and get his game sharper with actual competition and then be able to walk in the majors and possibly compete.

I think Pruitt already was shady! ;)
I think he was just dumb. He wasn’t even pulling these blue chip recruits who were literally coming here just to get wined and dined for a weekend. It was a joke. Again we hired someone past their pay scale. He’s a great DC that needs to be monitored be a HC. Probably the reason him and Richt butted heads at Georgia

Maybe. But it is a "fair argument," where competitions with objective scoring have zero argument. I really think they should he separated, it's even worse than comparing men's basketball records to women's. It's not apples to apples.

Sabans a pro and he and Kirby have history. No way he’s selling out his buddy to DeBoer
You think Saban is more loyal to someone he mentored than the university that paid his bills for 15 years?

Saban is a Bama crony. Pretty sure he’s still on staff as an advisor/consultant. I wouldnt tell him squat.
