Kinda crazy the curve your life can take. As important as Madden was to the NFL, several generations now only know him from video games. Madden along with countless other greats of his era is likely largely forgotten had he not made a forward thinking deal and lent his name and likeness to EA's NFL franchise. Something he probably didn't think much about at the time as he was already in his twilight years and had had massive success but that one move has since become one of the strongest brands out there and ironically taught everyone with the ability to turn a console or pc on some X's and O's.

I never realized how much talent went into cheering until A&M showed me what happened when menfolk were allowed to maintain control of the cheer squads. No wonder schools went co-educational.

We see this every year. Someone thinks they know how it is and says so only to learn they were wrong. It's the same with new coaches who think they know how hard the SEC slate is. There's knowing a thing and understanding a thing. When Neyland's alive it's different. Built like it's on top of you and when it's alive can have you feeling like the walls of Jericho are about to fall in on you.
