Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I've seen a little t of people complain about the onside kick. I think it's 100% coaching. He was coached that if there's a huge gap onside it. Which is smart because you trust your defense and there's a good chance of recovery

I have a buddy who was in coaching and he said that all coaches know that the 1st half is fair game no matter what.

Jackson Arnold has now been sacked 9 times in 3 games. He's their leading rusher on the season with 159 yards on 36 carries. Oklahoma only has 477 rushing yards total on the season. The most yards he has thrown for in a game is 174 against Houston. Out of his 54 completions in the season, 22 of them have been to WR Deion Burke for 169 yards.
So you're saying it's gonna be B2A?

Are they expecting any of their injured o-line or receivers back this week?

A few jokes lifted from an article that I will not cite because it was so full of dumb when it wasn't falling back on jokes.

For the Seminoles, the only silver lining to take from this miserable start to the season is it may have lowered the program's media valuation enough that it can escape the ACC for a standard exit fee and some Kohl's cash.

Turns out, Colorado took the trash talk personally, which isn't really saying much since Deion Sanders takes it personally when the power company sends a reminder that his electric bill is due.

To say it has been a rough start to the season for the ACC would be wrong because it insinuates anything before this season hadn't also been rough for the ACC.

Money game arbitrage. Toledo was scheduled to play Maryland this year, but the Terps wanted to push the game back to 2029 ... so they paid the Rockets a cool $575,000 not to play.... In swooped Mississippi State with a cool $1.2 million for the Rockets to [win in] Starkville.

We could also read [Notre Dame's] scoring outburst as an indictment of Purdue, which based on the transitive laws of college football, would finish ninth in the MAC this season.

Hey @Ericvol2096 or other Vol Club members, when do we get our 2024 Vol Club Member T shirts? I have my ‘23 shirt from when I joined over a year ago. Was thinking we got a new one each year and just curious, thanks.

Mine came in the mail months ago. It may have even been in the Spring I’m not sure though. You should message the club about it.

I'm tired of our opponents game planning all this quick passes so we can't get any sacks 😥

Will OK try some slower developing plays? I mean if they wanna be scared and try and nickel and dime us...feel free. Can't beat us that way.
With their offensive line I would imagine they would try quicker passes

Not something I would ever want to see our players doing but the CSU QB gave him the fuel he wanted a few days before the game. I was surprised to see it

Not condoning Sanders behavior. Very childish. Providing context because there have been plenty of times that Tennessee had tweets out there about us with 0 context.

He was trash talking during the game too.

I tried to tell yall I can't even remember who the idiot was who told me I was an idiot saying he had a chance to be significant this year. All he could say was he was a walk on. smh
So did @Tennessee Golfer. Even though someone isn’t a coach, if you watch a bunch of high school football, you can tell who stands out over others.

Short of a perplexing result like UK-UGA they do not match up on paper in any favorable way whatsoever.

If they can't block us, I just don't think they can compete for 4 quarters.
What’s weird is UGA the last 3 games in Lexington hasn’t scored more than 16. Won all 3 lmao

According to FPI's efficiency metrics, we're #1 in overall efficiency, #1 in defensive, #5 in offensive, & a paltry #37 on special teams.

Offense top 5: Miami, Indiana, Ole Miss, tx, UT
Defense: UT, tx, ND, UNLV, Bama
Overall: UT, tx, Ole Miss, Miami, Indiana
How are we a 37 on ST? Cuz of the missed FG against NCST?
