Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I think the bigger worry for the Bears and Caleb Williams is leading the league in sacks at 9...

Acting like a first round QB is a bust after 2 games of their rookie year is stupid.

Peyton started 0-4 with 3 TDs against 11 INTs

It's a 1st overall curse that QBs have to deal with, max dollars and the worst team. Brady, Wilson, Lamar, Rodgers all had better starts to begin with because they went to better teams. Caleb's career will have to play out a bit longer, clear though the Bears need more than a QB, cause Fields is 2-0 for the Steelers with 0 INTs throwing almost 70% right now.
Nate Davis was an epically bad signing and Poles needs to own the lack of urgency addressing center. Only hope there is Bates being passable. Hoping the GM’s part in drafting Trey Smith makes him top priority in the offseason. All that and they’re 1-1…like Philadelphia.

From watching in the stadium, Nico had an open receiver on about every play. My opinion, but he telegraphed and didn’t work through his progressions. That’s not on the receivers. That’s just inexperience on his part. The game still has to slow down for him.
If he is that bad...then we are screwed Saturday.

My opinion on football uniforms:

Home: choice #1 because it looks great against a nice green field and it's the VOLS signature look.
White helmets
Orange tops
White bottoms (without stripe)
White cleats

Away: top choice
Storm troopers
(I do like the all whites with the thin black outlines)

When to wear them:
Black/smokey grays against Kentucky/USCjr/non SEC rivals/ out of conference/home late Oct or early Nov

Traditional Orange/White for home and Stormtroopers for away always against bama/florida/vandy/any other top 10 teams/homecoming/bowl games

I'm good with the all Orange unis and I'm ok with the white tops/orange bottoms, in moderation.

*The Orange helmet needs to sleep with the fishes. I hate that helmet
1. Stormtroopers
2. Orange over White
3. Dark Mode
4. Orange over Orange
5. White over Orange

Bury the Orange helmets at the body farm.
Burn the Smokey Grays.

Would also add that Brady and Rodgers didn’t
play immediately (or at all) their first seasons.

Nate Davis has been an epically bad signing and Poles has to own the lack of urgency addressing the center position. Hopefully Bates can hold serve for the remainder of this campaign and the GM can utilize his part in drafting Trey Smith while in KC to make him the offseason priority. All that and the Bears are 1-1…like Philly and San Fran.

QB play level has sank since Brady, Brees, and Manning.

Some teams are going back to old school football ground and pound. Setting up the pass.

People can Call Jim Harbaugh a piece of **** all they want but his Chargers are 2-0 with the run game as primary offense with a multi million dollar QB playing game manager.

I didn't say he was bad. He also made some incredible throws that wowed the entire stadium. He is what he is...an insanely talented, future NFL QB who is just in his first few starts at a higher level of competition.

Remember, he's not even played a full game yet in his collegiate career. He's still relatively inexperienced and growing before our eyes.

I've been traveling since I was a baby. But some time in my early thirties I went through a period where I was really nervous to fly. At one point they called for boarding and I almost just walked away.

To get over the hump, every time I felt nervous, I pulled up FlightAware and looked at all the flights that were in the air all over the world. At that time. I could zoom into The airport I was at, where I was going, everywhere in between and just was astounded at how many airplanes are in the air at one time. With how few reports of problems there are, it actually gave me great relief.

The other two things I started doing was trying to get a seat closer to the front of the plane because you feel the turbulence less. And when I was a passenger in a car, closing my eyes and feeling myself uncontrollably bounce around and still recognizing I was safe.

I hope this can help you or someone else. Because once I got over the hump, I actually looked forward to flying again and fly several times a year.
How did you reach the vehicle pedals?
