Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Green likes to roll right.

Right into Pearce. IMO

Pearce has quietly been wreaking severe havoc on every team we've faced when he has been on the field, those of us that go back over games and look at every play know that...but...he really needs one of those monster games to remind all the casuals that only peruse the statlines just how terrifying and disruptive he really is.

September 4th...
I don't expect to see orange helmets this year. They still have them on hand (hence them still being in College Football 2025), but they didn't order any new ones this year and there are several guys on the roster that have custom fit helmets that weren't on the team in 2022.

About a third of the roster wears a model of helmet that didn't exist when they did the orange set. It's possible that they could get enough without ordering a set, but that has not happened to my knowledge.

yesterday...
Kids like the all-white, I'd look for that again. I'd prefer the orange pants.

Players on the leadership council don't like the orange helmets. They still have the ones from 2022, but haven't added new models to them like they have the white, black and gray. I'd be surprised to see them this year.

Take from that what you will

There is relevant precedence from some of those General Neyland teams in the 30s with the stout defenses...

I'd be down to fix up our record in the modern orange helmet

What’s the best Arkansas forum to read
