If Napier knew what was best he’d play Lagway all or the majority of the game. Mertz handicaps them vs us.

I kinda agree. I think Lagway creates more of a problem for us, he has the potential to be explosive. Mertz is predictable and methodical. I don't think Florida has a chance unless they have some explosive plays.

One other thing: question remains why are we singled out like this? What did we do to continue to get this skewed officiating? Is it still because Heupel brought this program back too fast to prominence from the Pruitt scandal, so the NCAA and SEC are continuing to punish us in other ways other than the sanctions that were levied and agreed on? Doesn’t make sense.

We are Bama's arch-enemy, and Heupel's offense causes them to spend too much time preparing for it. Therefore the Bama infested SEC offices in B'ham order slanted officiating against us to either run off Heupel or prevent success.

I was so certain we would beat Arkansas and was annoyed at my fellow Vol friends in our group chat that I made a horrible declaration thirty minutes before the game.

"There is no way we lose to Arkansas. Hell, if we lose I'll drink my own piss."

Never. Ever. Have I regretted a statement so much in my life. I've been hearing it from them all week. I've seen what happened to FSU... I won't let my foolishness spread bad juju onto UT. We are heading to Knoxville Saturday morning for the Florida game, but before we leave I'm going to get a solo cup... and give my all for Tennessee. This is gonna suck.

No I get that, but even that wasn’t supposed to be a problem. I guess my point is I’m baffled as to how this oline is looking so terrible when it’s supposed to be one of the more talented groups on the team. Hell, our secondary, which I was very worried about, has impressed me more than the oline.

Campbell is dealing with bursa issues in his knees. He's hurt and not playing his best. Heard albeit talented is as young as Nico and is IMO out of shape for this offense. That could be due to being out for real injury or a combination of other factors.

There's nothing wrong with the offense There were opportunities and open men all over the field. You're putting to much emphasis on scheme, execution particularly our blocking is the problem. It's the Jimmies and the Joes.

Yeah and it starts with Jimmy HC, Joe OC,
Jimmy OLC.
They had 2 weeks to prepare the Jimmy’s and Joes on the field and they looked unprepared.

Your eyes aren’t lying. UT’s opponents are flagged 4.3 times per game this year—9th fewest in the nation (126th of 134).

For comparison:

UGA’s opponents are flagged 5.5 times per game on average (89th out of 134).
Bama opponents are flagged 5.6 times per game (86th).
Auburn’s opponents are flagged 9.6 times per game (3rd).
Ohio State’s opponents have the fewest penalties called against them—3.4 per game.

The more penalties called against another team’s offense = more offensive plays for us and more running for officials. The more penalties called against our offense, the less running for same officials. Has been happening for 3 years now and now one can convince me that it’s anything other than that.

Tbh, I'm not sure what we as a fanbase are supposed to believe? That it's all purely innocent and just a huge coincidence? Live ball fouls are NEVER called on teams playing us. Ever. They are called on them playing other teams and they are called on us...but never on them when playing us. It's essentially statistically impossible for the foul situation to have been this way for 2 year so...the only reasonable explanation is that multiple ref crews have been instructed to call games that way.
