They lost to 2-3 Georgia St who got killed by GT, killed by Georgia Southern, lost to Old Dominion and only beat Chatt by 3 points.

Vandy is just fine at best. Literally only Texas has been consistent. Not a huge difference from Ms State to UGA in this league.

One thing that helped me understand what is going on is rewatching the second quarter of the Okie game. At the beginning and also near the end of that quarter, with the backups starting Nico is pounded by full-steam blind-side hits that resulted in him fumbling. I hypothesize the second hit as initiating Heup's second half change in tactics. You can see in rewatching the NC State game Campbell and Heard blocking better and also when each was injured. You can see rewatching the Arky game that the starters weren't the same after, not to say that NCSU is as good as Arky. I was most impressed by the winning drive last night. Especially the run blocking which reminded me of gut-check time against Arky in '98. They didn't flinch at the Purdue-type bs forward-progress call. Just lined up and pounded FL again.

So we have to just assume we won't ever get a holding call go our way the rest of the season.

Nico has regressed, but the Oline is the main issue, Heard is making too much money for half-ass, inconsistent play, no matter the reason.

This veteran Oline sucks in year 4, Oline coach needs to be gone and replaced. Very disappointed in the fact that we have so much talent on this roster to have to go to OT to beat a bad FL team at home, and yes, we beat ourselves almost every series, but FL also made horrible decisions that caused them to lose.

Play calling last night, and last week, was very bad and very predictable. It's gotten worse as the season has progressed.

Nico looked good against bad competition, but we are seeing a RS Freshman now and for the remainder... he will get better. The Oline MUST get better.

Defense saved our tails and won the game. Boo and others stepped up.

We are in big trouble if Pili is out for extended time or the season. Big trouble.

Absolutely no reason Matthews should not be out there.

We are no where near a playoff team.

We will get hammered by AL this coming weekend and quite possibly will end up 7-5 / 8-4 best scenario. Quite a difference to everyone and the media lauding us and propping us up the first few games of the season.

It is what it is unfortunately. Empty the NIL bank on Oline in the offseason, get two LB's, and we should be good to go next year.

Hoping this staff has not maxed itself out now that folks have figured out how to defend our offense.

Praying we can keep who we have committed until signing day with the amount of potential L's coming our way unless things drastically change.

Vandy and KY are going to be dogfights and AL/GA are just L's...

Heard is the easy one to call out, but Spraggins needs to elevate his game. He's been here a while and we need him to start opening up some holes with Cooper to get the run game to be more consistent.

I never said they were better or worse than anyone else. I said their wins are higher quality than ours. Va Tech, Bama, and UK is more impressive than OU UF and NC state.

I agree either of their losses are worse than our 1 loss, let alone the fact that they have 2. I agree they should be ranked far below us.

Bama is not still the same Bama. They lost to Vandy and almost lost to SCar. Trying to pretend they're still the same team is idiotic. They could very well come in and beat us next week, I expect them to, but that doesn't mean they're a good team. Right now, we're not a very good team either.

This has to be one of the strangest UT vs Bama matchups I can remember.

Both teams have massive holes and yet it's a top-11/10 matchup.

Based on rankings, the teams should be fairly confident, and yet I highly doubt either is. Bama is a 1.5 pt fav, so essentially a coinflip.

Neyland needs to show out and be the X-factor.

Lets talk about revisionist history..

Hendon Hooker got thrown on the trash heap after his first 2 years at VT because their impatient idiot fans did what our impatient idiot fans are doing....that is obviously how we got him to start with, NOBODY here was excited about getting him..

Hendon didn't become a great QB right off the bat or overnight...it took a few years of learning and seeing.

Let's run off Nico for not being a polished super quarterback as a freshman, and watch him go win the Heisman somewhere else his Jr or Sr year...that should be fun..
