Has the coaching staff ever considered just quick snapping with a run up the middle on second down?

I really think that will catch a lot of defenses off guard.

That's what we used to do nearly every 1st down and sometimes second and short.

I agree. UF had begun to play better leading into our game. They have physical guys who bring it.. Their O development is a step behind ours. They probably win that game if Mertz does not go down. Lagaway is one year away from being difficult to stop.

yes they had played pretty well for a couple weeks in a row leading up to our game.

There’s a good chance. McCoy is the best CB we’ve had since at least Sutton

Bryce Thompson and Alontae was a good duo in 2019, Sutton and Coleman was solid & both have made a career in the NFL

Ok folks it is Bama week. We are in playoff elimination game this weekend. Win and we advance. I like those odds. Our defense is legit. They are playoff ready. Maybe a little more stressed with Pili out, but still enough talent.

Offense we need Nico and our tackles to step up and shine, but the pieces are there.

I am confident we beat FL because of the crowd and the crowd was not as intense as it could have been. We rose up on the big occasions, but the enthusiasm struggled early with our offensive struggles. We will need everyone at their max against Bama. That is a much better team than UF and AR.

If our safeties were just a smitch better, it would be hard to argue this being one of the best secondaries ever to come through UT, imo

I know it’s only 6 games in, but it’s honestly impressive, especially with multiple underclassmen

These guys are made to play all game, I just don’t know if any of the past secondaries could play as much as our current guys do and continually lock guys down.
