More points for UF would've changed Heupel's approach. It's clear that he opens it up when he falls behind. We may not have gone to OT, but I wouldn't assume that's because we lost.If not for the 10 second run-off to end the first half, Florida has 3 more points on the board, and we don't get to OT.
My thing is, it’s perfectly normal for freshmen-rs freshmen to go through growing pains. Nico is having them right now, and that’s ok. Hes no better or worse than Milton last year, only difference is Nico is a RS freshman and Milton was a 6th year senior. BUT, with that said, usually qb’s get better throughout the season and it seems like Nico is regressing. Is it because of the lack of protection? Most likely, but there are still some throws and decisions that make you scream “WTF was that??” Like the int, 3rd down overthrow to squirrel in the 3rd quarter, and the throw out of bounds to Nimrod while he was wide open. Usually qb’s fix those mistakes as the season progresses and he hasn’t yet, hopefully he does though. Here’s where I am on Nico
Before Game 1, my Nico dial only had Trevor Lawrence on it, and it pointed to Trevor and I never thought to question it.
After Game 6, I noticed it changed. It now has Trevor on one side and DJ Uiagalelei on the other, and the arrow is stuck in the middle with a giant question mark over the top.
I’m no negavol and I’m all in on Heupel and Nico. But I can’t shake that question mark.
I’ve just got to see more this year.

Jumped up Judas Priest we won the f’ing game, we beat Florida. I don’t care if Heard raped his memaw on the sideline. On to the Gumps. In the last two games we have failed to put a single point on the board in the first half... with Heup's offense...SHEEET. Gotta get fixed this week or we are toast. Saw a clip where Heard was sprinting into the endzone leading the way for Sampson to score a TD in the second half with the score tied 10-10 with about 9:48 to go... He then high steps in celebration... he's not hurt. He's either giving effort only part of the time because he's out of shape, or just doesn't care.
