If our safeties were just a smitch better, it would be hard to argue this being one of the best secondaries ever to come through UT, imo

I know it’s only 6 games in, but it’s honestly impressive, especially with multiple underclassmen

These guys are made to play all game, I just don’t know if any of the past secondaries could play as much as our current guys do and continually lock guys down.

Last year when there we many people handwringing anout losing our entire secondary I was like Joe Bag of Doughnuts. Fugeta baaad it.

That readout would look a whole lot different if just a couple of those long/dropped passes were completed. I think we see him hit a couple more of them vs bama.

Agreed. He’s been close and he’s made some great throws in just about every game. But he also hasn’t gotten much above 200 yards passing against anyone with a pulse. And he does stare down receivers. Hopefully coachable and he learns from it. I recall doubting Dobbs early on and he turned out great as a college QB. But Dobbs also flashed that gamer “IT” factor the whole time, even when he was just starting out. I haven’t quite seen the “IT” factor from Nico like he’s about to put everyone on his shoulders and go fight to win, come what may. We will see as the season progresses. I’m all in for Heupel and Nico.
