Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Clearly, I haven't followed Clemson. How are they doing so well? They need to get back to their rightful place and struggle with the resurgence of Tennessee.
Well I guess you didn’t know but Clemson is a very talented team. I know some on here chalked them up as dead in the water. Apparently those people were wrong.

I’ve really enjoyed some of his recent ones, Old, & Trap. A bit silly but very fun in the theater just like signs was. Some movies are best with 50 other strangers in the room watching. Bring back the theatrical experience imo.

His show servant is also very good
Yes, Servant was really good. Could've ended a bit better; but, still a good series to watch.

I still believe they will regress as we continue to climb. Tennessee's long walk in the desert helped them a lot.

To be fair, Clemson is playing in a much worse conference. I don't think they are 6-1 if they have played our schedule

Kiper updated draft board rankings dropped JPJ to #14.
I believe he most recently had him at #3 behind only Travis Hunter (WR/CB - Colorado) & Will Campbell (CB - Mich). So a bit of a drop.

14. James Pearce Jr., OLB, Tennessee*

Height: 6-5 | Weight: 243 | Prev. rank: 10

2024 stats through seven games: 27 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 28 pressures, 6.5 tackles for loss, 7 run stops, 1 forced fumble

Tennessee spent the early part of the season rolling its opponents, limiting Pearce to 56 snaps over the team's first three games. But Pearce -- who is coming off a 10-sack season in 2023 -- has seen plenty of action over his past four matchups. I see a lot of speed off the edge, and he does a nice job mixing up his pass-rush moves to keep offensive tackles on their heels. Pearce could still add weight to his frame. But even at 243 pounds, he shows the ability to win with power. And when asked to help in run defense, he has the quickness to make plays in lateral pursuit.

That’s where I would want to fall…somewhere between 14-20.

Great money, plus you go to a team that could compete in a couple of years.

**** all that 1-10 picks, yeah it looks good, but you can pretty much kiss your career goodbye lol

Pearce will be fine regardless, mostly taking about skill position guys.
