Recruiting Football Talk VIII

"I think it was Alabama because, listen, Alabama trumps Tennessee in a game of meaningful poker. Tennessee did not start the season inside the playoff bubble. Alabama did. Tennessee has looked good and bad, and everything else. For Tennessee, the game was absolutely critical. That goes without saying. I'll leave it to the playoff gurus, but Alabama has a better chance to get back with a loss than Tennessee. Tennessee has Georgia left, and really, that's about it."

She’s gonna be great at UT. Maybe not Y1 (or maybe so) but she’s gonna be great and they’re gonna be fun to watch play.

I wonder if LV fans will appreciate it tho bc she won’t duplicate Pat’s success and she’s not a former LV.
I agree with your first line. I think she will have to win about 3 Nattys in a row to mollify the haters.

And that's the difference between me and most. I don't let my emotions cloud my judgment on a player's talent and ability. A lot of people hate Hurd for how things ended. I don't. I simply appreciate what he did for us while he was here.
That is a valid point. However, how it ended was how he's remembered. Maybe unfairly, but that was a critical error of judgment on his part.

Pamela Anderson? Woo, what a video 😅 .
never found any of those women remotely attractive. had that Brittany Spears look of future trailer queen.

Another one was Jenny McCarthy. But. I did find her beautiful. Its like how did God create such a beautiful creature. Never before has anyone gone from 10-2 so quickly. As soon as she opens her trap....

Not saying you're wrong, I just don't window lick for the other teams in this conference..

Tennessee should be the only SEC team anyone on this board should care about.
I disagree. Listen, if it's not Tennessee playing, if it's an OOC game, I want every other SEC team to lose. I just get annoyed at other conferences trying to say that they are as good as the SEC and it is incredibly clear that they are not even close.

1. Jamal Lewis/Chuck Webb
2. Alvin Kamara
3. Reggie Cobb
4. Charlie Garner

2 to 4 can be interchangeable, in any way. Also, I'd have Sampson anywhere from 7 to 10; and, if we're talking just talent, LaMarcus Coker is high on the list with any of them.

No changing my mind about 1a and 1a. Only reason I wrote Jamal first, is because he popped up first. The other day, I thought of Chuck first...depends on what day it is. They are head and shoulders in my mind...no slight to any of the other great ones we've had. It's like Derrick Henry at Bama...they've had great/elite, but none of them are him. Whole other level that not many know. That's Jamal and Chuck. Elite of the elite, in every way. Injuries kept both of them from mentioned with the Herschel Walker's and Bo Jackson's.
Straight truth.

Sorry, but Lewis' talent, though prodigious, still fails to measure up to Chuck Webb. If not for the injury, would own every rushing record and our first Heisman and we likely win the '90 NC.
Imo the difference in them was that Webb was shiftier...he was the ultimate versatile RB, he could outrun you, run over you, run around you or make you miss.
