Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Posts that always reveal that one is not Scots-Irish. Thankfully.
Not sure what you are saying here.

All four of my grandparents have names that are Scots-Irish, so it's pretty deep in my heritage.

In fairness, I always heard Scotch-Irish when growing up...generally from the same people that I heard NAyland Stadium from...but learned differently later in life. It's probably not worth fighting over though.

Lost my mom to cancer overnight……Volnation has another one cheering on from Heaven.

I appreciate all the prayers from everyone over the past weeks……it means a lot.
I'm so sorry, pg. My dearest sympathies to you and your family. May the good Lord keep and comfort you all.

I used to like the Gronk USAA commercials, but they've stretched them too far and they're approaching progressive and liberty levels of dumb. Marketing agency people can't help going back to the well too many times.

I don’t like Progressive, but the Dr. Rick commercials are the funniest commercials on TV. I always look forward to a new one.

Exactly. It’s a bit pedantic especially for a sports forum.

I like those too. The Flo and Jamie ones are the ones that have gone too far. Was a funny bit for a while, but they've been worn out. The Liberty doug and emu ones were never good. I literally canceled my Liberty insurance I was so irritated with them. Gronk and USAA are headed that direction of overdoing it. Just be happy you had a really great idea and let it end. Don't overdo it until everyone remembers it as annoying.

As it stands right now. Not if we win out.

If we do win out it would be interesting as we’d more than likely be in the Championship game and a loss there could spoil things too.
I don't think you understand how this works. I just looked it up and Clemson is not in fact in the SEC and therefore will have no bearing on whether we win the SEC. Now it is true that sometimes we play teams from other conferences but the outcomes in those contest are not factored in to conference standings.

I think Progressive’s Dr. Rick campaigns along with GEICO are the best in the insurance ads. I feel like Insurance ads as a whole probably make up 1/4 to 1/3 of all commercials.

TN Farm Bureau is good at tugging the heart strings. State Farm commercials were good in the past when it used to be similar before they got more into the comedy campaigns.
