100. I actually think top 3 if undefeated because we'd be the only SEC team with that crown. We’d be ranked between 5-7 if we were undefeated
They would argue that we could still have an injury to QB or RB or coach could have a heart attack. They’d say potentially an earthquake could take out our university. Plane could go down mid flight to Athens. They’d say there are credible rumors that our players just don’t want to play anymore and quit en masse.
I don’t care
Keep winning
Beat both sets of dogs coming up and shut em all up
If you don’t see that ESPN pushes narratives, too, then it’s dumbfounding to me. It’s plain as day that the networks are pushing teams. Just like conference realignment. It’s all being run by the networks and money.lol you say in one statement "we could have won if we didn't have the backup qb in" then in the next statement "they shouldn't say we're not as good of a team just because our backup qb is in." You really think if Bryce Young had been injured instead of Hooker and everything else remained the same that Bama would have jumped us?
Ratings do matter, that's why they don't want teams with subpar backups taking over for injured starting QBs taking the prime ranking spots. That's why they didn't want the FSU backup in the playoff game, because ratings would have tanked because FSU was not the 4th best team in the country with him at QB. You're exactly right, it's about ratings, and the committee believes the ratings will be best if teams are ranked according to how good they actually are with their backup qb not how good their season was before the star qb got injured.
Again, I believe all that should matter is the season and the resume, not subjective opining on how good a team will be now that the star qb is injured; but this "they only picked bama because they love bama" stuff is just nonsense. There is plenty of logical reasoning behind dropping a team who just lost their star qb. I don't agree with it because I prefer (subjectively) that the season and the resume is all that determines the final ranking; but it's just dumbfounding that so many of you can't see the logic in their approach.
Thank youYou could buy a custom decal and add what you want. If you search fishing rod custom decals there are quite a few things that pop up. Going to try a custom decal soon with one of mine.
Mudhole.com is one but I don't know anything about them. Probably can find custom decals that would work on eBay or Amazon too.
I like it. That's pretty interesting..Yes, my mother was a Kappa Delta and worked at headquarters here in Shelby County. She was the resident historian. John Tyler’s grand daughter was born in Shelby County and a founder of KD in 1897 in Virginia. My mother got to interview a family member several years back. Both John Tyler and his son had children at old ages.
I got to look at it to ignore it. Unworkable solution.Just ignore the people who post crap you don't like. I say that about my own posts too. Once you ignore what you dislike what is left is suited to you.
For me the one bright spot of this thread is you get a condensed version of all of it. Even non-sense outside of Vols and sports. There is little I am not in tune with just watching here.
It does fit the good storyline criteria which would help ratings, because nobody would be excited to watch Boise. Probably would happen if the powers that be could swing it but it won't be the 7 v 8 game cause we will be the 1, 2, or 3 seed.I would love this. Think it would be a great game and the battle of the two best running backs in the college world. Sick
Of course they push narratives. But that doesn't mean there's no logic in what they did. The committee ranking isn't just about the playoff. They had a goal (to rank teams according to how good they believe each one is, not by their past performance) that doesn't just involve the top 4 teams. If that's all they cared about, they wouldn't even do rankings beyond the top 4. By dropping us for losing Hooker, they set the stage for what actually mattered for the playoff the very next year when they dropped FSU. They were showing consistency in dropping teams for losing starting QBs.If you don’t see that ESPN pushes narratives, too, then it’s dumbfounding to me. It’s plain as day that the networks are pushing teams. Just like conference realignment. It’s all being run by the networks and money.
There is no logic in dropping a team behind a team that the first team beat head to head with the same record and better wins. No logic. Especially when it comes to a bowl game and not the playoff! I will leave it at that.
We controlled our own destiny for the final 3 games in 2022. But yes, prior to that it had been a long time.Getting back to being productive with one final thought.
For once in a lifetime we completely control our destiny with 3 final games. We will be favored in all but one of those.
AR sucks, but we still completely control our fate. I am stoked.
We play primarily a soft cover two and rush four, hunting ints until they get near field goal range. Then there is less grass to cover and we tend to play more cover one and go bear quite a bit. That is when we are smothering. Our D is so crazy clutch it’s so impressive. I’ve never been confident in our own red zone until this year. we completely lock in every time minus a few times all year. You can literally see the opponent change their offensive identity completely when they get to the red zone because of how stout we are there. So so so impressive

Surely you can see it's a bad look. She will never be able to defend her pick if it's anti Tennessee. Now this Troy Elliott should stalk down the other 869 voters and see what their opinions are.
I'm sure there's some voters that hate Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State amongst others..
Curt Schilling was hated so bad by the Media the guy will never get into the Baseball HOF..
