Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I love it as well. One must ask why a father would speak in a quiet voice. It's generally because they want you near them. <3
I think it is cool how the Lord juxtaposed all those loud violent chaotic things against his peaceful voice. That showed one thing above all to Elijah beyond a shadow of a doubt...that God is in control of it all.

No. Exactly how is a loss to Candy going help us get into the playoffs? Alabubba eliminated themselves with a loss to Vandy. I can't wait to hear the scenario that has us losing to Candy and getting in the playoffs.

According to the committee Alabama is in currently. A loss to LSU should put them out though. That’s what we need at this point.

A close loss to UGA might still get us in but a loss to Vandy sends us packing imo.

I'm not sure if I've ever wanted UT to beat a team by more points than this game..............Screw Scotty Walden! And his horse.:)

1905 UT beat American University 104-0

Add a FG and make it 107-0
I would feel sorry for UTEPs players that had zilch to do with it...but I want to annihilate that dude and they are in the way...they shouldn't have hired that piece of excrement.

Stoops trying to find any W he can.

When I saw that during the game and they showed the replay, I remember saying Vandagriff put a bit of a flop on that one to draw a penalty.

Putting the arms out there was a little bit more than simple bracing, and was dumb, but the force of the backwards flop definitely was not correlated with the force of impact. And the straight arms would have shown more flex in an impact that knocked him back that hard.

Dumb move, could easily grasp him or just move. We were so lucky not to get flagged, though I'm not positive he meant to hit him or just be a firm barrier for him to run into.

But 100% some flopping too. Good no call I think, but no reason to put the refs in a position to make that judgment call. Same thing at the end of Bama where our guy threw a punch but we got lucky he missed.

Air smells a little fresher than normal outside today.
It was warm and muggy (for November in the mountains) and still pretty dusty around here. So dang dry and dirt everywhere.

Btw whatever happened to Halloween being freezing cold? All I remember as a kid and teen and now it's too warm for my onesie 😅🤣

Just gimme a damn wintery storm around Christmas, maybe one in Jan/Feb for some snowboarding, otherwise winter is basically dead these days it feels like.

Absolutely shocked that wasn't called. Pretty obvious.

The last 2 games we've gotten away with a lot. Not expecting the same swallowed whistles in Athens though.

Neyland West...maybe somewhere in between lmao

Chaplain's scenario reads "if we beat Georgia and lose to Vandy".

He's asking theoretically if a big win and meh loss is better or worse than a meh win and lack of an additional big win.

Hard to say, but we're good either way. Just win 3 out of 4 down the stretch. Nor is Alabama eliminated by having lost to a good Vandy team. They just need to win out, already with 2 losses.

Nah we're out at 9-3. We would have to have florida's schedule to get in with 3 losses
Yes, I'm coming around to this. They did say last night that every season a team has been ranked in the top 10, at the end, with 3 losses.

But we haven't blown the doors off of teams, now do I expect us to make the SECCG with 2 losses this year.

Think you need at least one of those in your favor, preferrably both. Especially in the new SEC, there will be a 3 loss SEC team in it every couple years, but don't see it this season.
