Recruiting Football Talk VIII

No. Exactly how is a loss to Candy going help us get into the playoffs? Alabubba eliminated themselves with a loss to Vandy. I can't wait to hear the scenario that has us losing to Candy and getting in the playoffs.
Chaplain's scenario reads "if we beat Georgia and lose to Vandy".

He's asking theoretically if a big win and meh loss is better or worse than a meh win and lack of an additional big win.

Hard to say, but we're good either way. Just win 3 out of 4 down the stretch. Nor is Alabama eliminated by having lost to a good Vandy team. They just need to win out, already with 2 losses.

Nah we're out at 9-3. We would have to have florida's schedule to get in with 3 losses
Yes, I'm coming around to this. They did say last night that every season a team has been ranked in the top 10, at the end, with 3 losses.

But we haven't blown the doors off of teams, now do I expect us to make the SECCG with 2 losses this year.

Think you need at least one of those in your favor, preferrably both. Especially in the new SEC, there will be a 3 loss SEC team in it every couple years, but don't see it this season.

Did you read the question? Your response indicates that you didn’t. Or that you didn’t grasp it.

Also, Alabama didn’t eliminate themselves with a loss to Vanderbilt. The fact that they are in the playoff right now is patent proof of that.

Never saw that. We got lucky. Simmons? We got no bizness pulling that tomfoolery. Stoopid.
Don’t peddle to that crap he had his arms out extended to keep from getting barreled into nothing about it was malicious…you have every right to this opinion but don’t play into this crap. It was ONL btw and we need him

Lol it's a qb running toward a DL a few feet out of bounds. You can't extend arms into the guy's head. And yeah I'll be pissed when we finally get flagged on a similar call.

Gotta be more disciplined, similar actions will hurt us down the road. Just step aside, he was coming in hot from a mile away ffs. If that was Nico, I'd be way more pissed off, just glad we got away with it for now.

Use your head Vols.

You really think it was malicious then there is no point in arguing with you, i see that video way differently. I’ve seen ONL dominate 300 pound lineman with malice on the football field but im suppose to believe he was intentionally pushing a QB down on the sideline because he was being “stupid”….if he really wanted to “push” him trust me there would have been way more force then that

I would want Heupel to do that if it were Nico. Guess Mike Ekeler was mistaken too? I don’t think he wanted to hurt him, but it was fringe nasty business.

Ekeler had the same reaction as you and I had the same one as the ref also looking right at it…it’s all about perspective
