Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I seriously doubt Nico plays Saturday. It seems to either be a concussion or collarbone. I think Huepel is playing games with UGA and the playoff committee. Very similar to the Cade Mays situation last year.
It’s a concussion not collarbone. Nobody is throwing passes with a broken collarbone. It all depends on how he responds throughout the week. I lean he plays

We need some DUDES to emerge in the WR room this week. We know they will be getting mugged, raped and held with no calls. Someone has to beat their man consistently. If we hit a couple chunk plays we can beat these guys.
Wish we’d throw more to the tight ends and Sampson.

That doesn't explain why they'd handicap it as a more than a TD and FG. That would explain a 3.5-4.5 edge, not 10.5. They clearly think we don't match up well with them for some reason.
Because we've historically been horrific in tough road environments. If it were at neyland I bet it would be less than a fg.

But even with that, 10 points does seem like a lot for a defense that's one of the best in the country. I'd have thought 7 or so. I plan to take those 10 points, I just don't see our defense letting us lose by double digits.

My experience with concussions is that it's much easier to notice the symptoms the next day than right after it happens.

My guess is they probably know today whether Nico will be ready. If not know, at least have a strong idea.

But I doubt we'll know. If Heupel has his way we won't know until kickoff.

If it's really a concussion, it has to be a mild one. His head really didn't hit that hard and it was on the side, not in the back. I'm no medical expert, but every bad one I've seen was in the back or on top and they all looked a lot more violent than that one. I'm optimistic it was just precautionary to pull him in a game we had well in hand.

Nice bark! Some unrendered fat there. Was it juicy or a little dry? I've struck out on every brisket I've tried.
It was super juicy. Definitely was unfortunate to see all that unrendered fat when cutting. The damn thing cooked for a legit 15 hours lol

Was probably 13 lbs after trim
