I understand that...I've watched it again, so I have an even better understanding of that..but..our DL played the softest, or passive that I've seen them play all year, and our LBs were out of position a lot..and missed tackles when they were in position.

The DL has been consistently violent and aggressive all year in pushing the line and getting off blocks and they just were not doing either consistently yesterday.

I know it's human nature...it is impossible to be 100% on all the time....I just hope that stuff doesn't happen against UGA or Vandy.

Been practicing for UGA, confirmed.

Well they did just kill LSU at LSU. They also beat UGA. Besides Bama, who have we beat?

Here’s the records for the teams we’ve played.
Vols: 37-48
Bama: 44-41

We squeeze by mediocre teams because of defense. If the offense would’ve taken care of business we would be having a different convo. Reality is, if our defense wasn’t this good our record would probably be around 4-4.

Also, when the announcer last night says, “Miss St averages more points in the SEC than UTs offense does”, that’s an issue

The people who keep going on about UGA not being a playoff elimination game for us simply don’t get it. We only have 1 good win and one terrible loss. Vandy got humiliated by SC and will get donkey stomped by LSU. They won’t be ranked when we trash them.

So essentially if we lost to UGA we would have 1 good win. 10-2 with losses to Arky and UGA won’t get us into the playoffs imo.

Also. . . when is the appropriate time of the year to start watching Christmas movies? The day after Thanksgiving? 1 week before Christmas? Christmas Eve/Day?

Really hope the DL play last two weeks is an anomaly. Watching this Ole Miss game their line gave UGA fits.

I am starting to wonder if our D is getting worn down. They have carried this team since the 3rd week and been on the field a lot.

It just seems like "Who you beat" is more important than "Who you lost to." There's so many examples of this.

Notre Dame losing to NIU yet still in the drivers seat to enter the playoff.
Bama because they beat Georgia and LSU yet lost to VANDY and Vols.
Indiana is undefeated in the Big10 but only now being respected for it. And already talk that if they have 1 loss they're out unless they beat OSU because they'd have no quality wins.

While I agree with this.. It gets messy if Tennessee, UGA and Bama are all sitting there at 10-2, all having beaten the other. So then you have to go to common opponents and losses, and I think that's where Arkansas really hurts. And vandy hurts Bama... It will be in the eye of the beholder... Strangely enough, if we can beat vandy handily, that may be a difference maker in some people's eyes when comparing Bama and Tennessee... DESPITE HAVING ALREADY BEATEN THEM TOO.

So get ready... It's gonna get a little sporty for several sec teams, us included. I'm sure Ole miss feels like they deserve to get in too.

Beating Vandy would help our case over Bama, but even in that triad I think it STILL comes to who you beat rather than lost.

Unfortunately, Bama has the LSU win in Death Valley and Georgia the Texas win in Austin. Vols should've had the OU win but they're garbage.

They.have.played.nooooboooody undefeated or not…very hypocritical if you think back to a year ago regarding FSU..they were undefeated and didn’t make it to the playoffs…but now everyone is getting the push by 2 and 3 spots?…come on

Big Ten early on looks like they played expansion well. Brought in mediocre programs to add to their deep slate of mediocre programs so they don’t eat themselves alive. Meanwhile the SEC is the NFL in miniature.

Even if only 1-2 SEC teams make it to the playoff (unlikely), those teams would cut through the field like a hot knife through butter.
