But you said 8/9…guess that wasn’t correct. They punted one time after we stopped them three straight. Drove the field, ever time. Long drives. Banks made zero changes. TN will never , ever win anything of significance with him as the coordinator. 9-10 wins. He's your man.
If you want elite defensive coaching, look at GA. You literally never know where it's coming from. Safety, corner, olb, ilb. Stunts, twist. Meanwhile, Banks rushes the 4 down linemen, every play.
One of the biggest, arguably most glaring, issues on the offensive side is that we just don’t have playmakers. Sampson, sure we can argue he’s one, but who else? Nico isn’t a playmaker, yet. He’ll get there, absolutely, but he’s not a Hooker or a Tillman or a Hyatt. We don’t have anyone of that caliber on the offensive side that can make huge plays. I think we have guys who can eventually get there (Thorton) but they’re not quite ready. And tonight shows what happens when you don’t have that and the other side does—or at least has 10+ years of solid recruiting that’s established a foundation and culture of success. We’re just not there, yet, but it’s happening. At some point in a 12 game season, you have games where both sides of the ball have to win the game. The defense has done it all year. The offense has to execute and not lay an egg in a half. That defensive call has worked hundreds of times- literally.
Ya”ll enjoy acting like you can do it. Have fun.

I may be the minority but I still think there's a solid chance. Especially if Big Ten paper machet teams like PSU and Indiana lose and Notre Dame loses to Army. If the SEC gets 5 I think its low chances we get left out. Otherwise we need someone to drop another.I may have to avoid this place for a couple of weeks while the slow motion realization that we will not go to the playoff starts to set in
Toxicity potential very high
It was an atrocity of a defensive gameplan. He called that game like a scared .They punted one time after we stopped them three straight. Drove the field, every time. Long drives. Again, I'll make this as simple as I can. ATim Banks looks like a genius when he can get pressure with 4 and occasionally 5. Weve been getting pressure with 4 and 5. He has nothing when they can't. That's been his whole time here. He's not a d coordinator at this level. He never will be. We'll never win anything of significance with him as coordinator. Like i said, you want to see elite defensive coaching, look at GA.Our other loss we didn’t even give up 20 points. Offense didn’t have a pulse
Manning didn’t redshirt. In 1994 the Vols went 7-4 in games where Peyton played significant snaps (including bowl). He finished 89/144 (62%) for 1100yds 11tds 6ints.
The game has changed, but Nico has led the Vols to 8-2 with 144/221 (65%) 1900yds 11tds 4ints with 2 regular season games left that we are highly favored. And that doesnt include last year's bowl game.
He's a freshman. You can't expect any freshman QB to come into the SEC and blow the doors off. Once in a blue moon a guy will (Manziel). If you can't see the leadership and the talent you are blind. If you can't see the very obvious flaws around him affecting his performances every week, you are blind.
Be patient. The goal is to finish 10-2. To do that with a freshman QB and majorly poor OL is an insane accomplishment. Nico is going to do great things for us, and he's got multiple years to do it.
Who gives a ****? They scored every time. Except the knell down and one punt after the 1st three drives. You guys can defend him all you want but it was pathetic, an abomination. He never changed a dam thing. We're not talking short drives either. You realize your math doesn’t add up, right? 31 points means they scored 4 times (4*7=28) and then one FG for a total of 5 scoring drives.
