That's happened in a couple of games the past 2 years. The review booth (Birmingham) stops the game and proceeds to penalize TENNESSEE. It's our conference cheating to benefit our opponent.I’m more amazed at the fact that the review booth stopped play more than once to correct a no call. I couldn’t believe that the review booth reversed the “fumble” recovered by Tennessee and changed it to an incomplete pass for uga. That’s the worst part is that they should not have been able to do that. I have not seen that in any other game. Why aren’t they stopping play with the egregious no calls on the uga OL holding our DL?
I can’t remember the other review booth interruption, but it also significantly benefited uga to our team’s detriment.
I like this. Especially margin of loss instead of margin of victory.Yep. And even then, they still have 2 road losses like us.
Vols 2 road Ls (Arky and UGA) 8-2
UGA 2 road Ls (OM and Bama) 8-2
Bama 2 road Ls (Vols and Vandy) 8-2
OM 1 road L (LSU), 1 home L (UK) 8-2
LSU 2 road Ls (A&M and UF), 1 home L (Bama), 1 neutral (USC) 6-4
Texas 1 home L (UGA) 9-1
Texas A&M 1 road loss (SoCar), 1 home loss (ND) 8-2
Imo you should be penalized more for home losses.
But also, I think they need to develop a concrete scoring method for deciding this stuff. You start with a certain number of points and you get deducted a certain number of points for losses based on margin of loss, location, and ranking of the team. You gain points for the same.
Great post and totally 100%What's wild is Brazzell had no trouble torching defenses at Tulane, even against better opponents, but he's basically a warm body right now. The rest of the group were unproven at their prior stops but had immense potential.
Our passing game last night was a 160lb 5'9" guy getting open and a TE mismatching LBs. Then designed quick passes to the flat and curl routes off cushions.
I love Bru, but he's lost a step and not getting open downfield. That's why he hasn't scored, because he's not consistently getting open. I think Brazzell's inability to produce is probably coaching and lack of physicality. Thornton unfortunately has had injuries. Nimrod has a horrible drop rate.
We have insane talent in that room and they aren't producing or they aren't seeing the field. It's November, Staley and Matthews should be playing. If they're still behind what we are currently seeing then that's probably position group coaching. I hate throwing coaches under the bus but our WRs have been subpar since Hyatt and Tillman went to the league despite having more depth and talent.

Which one? The one by 86 or 4? I think both may have been catches and fumbles. However, it is funny to me that they showed the replay once on both of them and that was it! It’s like they didn’t want the viewers to see that they were covering up things.Way behind but does anyone think the Georgia “incomplete pass” was actually a caught pass / fumble recovered by us?? Sorry if already discussed.
I guess competitive is in the eye of the beholder. At no point did I have faith that we would tie that game. We had been outscored 24-7 to that point. We had been thoroughly dominated (we some assistance from the officials) in the 2nd half.UGA punted to Vols to start 4Q while it was 24-17.
Vols punted back to UGA after Heard false start in the 4th with 8:47 on the clock down 24-17.
It was indeed competitive.
UGA’s last drive was dominant tho.
Some of those passes were just dimes though, I was very pissed at the DL and LB play thoughI guess competitive is in the eye of the beholder. At no point did I have faith that we would tie that game. I'm not disputing we weren't in position to make it a game. I just never believed we were a threat. Our offense reverted back to the garbage version of itself after the first drive. Our DL got zero pressure all night. Our LBs are brutal in coverage. And UGA moved the ball at will. So I guess my point is that the score doesn't tell the story of the game.
