Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Your posts are basically pointing at a dead horse and saying well so and so said lol who cares we either make it or we don’t and not a single member of this board can do anything about it. The expectation for the season was 10-2 and we are well on are way
My expectation was 11-1. Does that mean I still get to complain?

Which G5 team do you think would be the most competitive in the playoffs.......Boise St.,Tulane or Army?
I'm not sure about most competitive, but I hope Army makes it. Wish Navy was having a better season. I don't really cheer for any other college team than Tennessee, but the service academies are different. They represent our military men and women who serve this country, so yeah, I do kind of cheer for them. And I was a Navy brat myself, so I have a soft spot in my heart for Navy.

Also, if Army makes it they could potentially knock Notre Dame AND Boise State out.

Or Army and Boise State could be ranked higher than the Big 12 champion and they get left out. There is no designation for P4 vs. G5. They just take the highest 5 conference champions, then the next 7 at-large.

Did anyone view the tweet that Sankey is set to fine Tennessee for Lott supposedly faking the injury?

Nevermind its that damn Dick West tweeting that nonsense..

I for one am gonna be pissed when bama gets put in the playoffs and the vols arent. What’s the point of even playing the games
Bama's resume is quite a bit better rn.

That USCjr win is looking really nice at this point and though Mizzou and LSU just dropped from the rankings, they absolutely dominated both.

Unfortunately we don't have solid wins #2-4 like that.

Not that who ends up ranked higher will matter a ton. I don't see either getting a home game and the initial pairing is pretty random. Ie #11 or #12 could get an ND or Indiana as much as #9 or #10 lands an SEC opponent...

until ND joins a conference- they should be told to kick rocks. no special treatment or name bias nonsense.

i hate ND and rudy.
They aren't, they can't be a top ranked G5 champion, since they aren't in a conference.

They're forced to actually be one of the top-11 teams on their own. They've taken the hardest route.

Bold move, Cotton. Let's see if it works out for them.

We should not drop behind Ole Miss...but the committee for some reason doesn't recognize Ole Miss' loss to UK a bad one..but for some reason is holding the Arkansas game against us. They got no balls so therefore we will be behind Ole Miss.
Ole Miss wallopped USCjr and beat UGA.

Top wins matter more than bad losses. This is well known.

Resume is better rn.

But again, ranking 9-11 feels irrelevant to me. UF may give them a scare too if Lagway plays out of his mind and can run past the nation's best DL and punish their aggressiveness.

Heather Dinich has Tennessee ranked #11 and the 1st team out in the bracket predictions for tonight.

Out if all the talking heads, she is most reliable.
Good position to be in with 2 weeks remaining and 2 extremely winnable games ahead for the Vols, but not many other teams.

We'll keep moving up.
