Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I remember when all the Kellie Jolly Harper acolytes scolded Danny and sent him angry emails for firing a mediocre coach just because those acolytes love them some alumni head coaches.

Sounds like Danny knew what he has doing.

“You don’t take donkeys to the Kentucky Derby; you better get you some racehorses.”

Honest question. But why Ole Miss?
As many SEC teams as possible. Before this past weekend, Bama, Tennessee, Texas, looked like the most 3 surefire teams that would probably make it. With us losing, you now have a possible 5 when you add UGA and Ole Miss. If A&M beats Texas, things will get very interesting.

The original post of this arm of the conversation was stating Ole Miss as a team to put in over Tennessee. So my question was meant to ask why Ole Miss over us?

God dude! Torrance Gibson and von bell?…PTSD like no other…this whole forum was a wreck when they didn’t come here. Turned out to be a bums…well Torrance anyway
Gibson may have been a great player if he was at the right place. He looked pretty good for ohio state before he completely melted down.

One problem that will be difficult to overcome is the difference between the media darling and the media antagonist. So far the playoff committee seems enamored.

Media darlings in the playoffs race:
Texas
Bama
Georgia
Ole Miss
Indiana
BYU
Ohio State
Oregon

Sort of media favorites:
Miami
Colorado
Penn State
SMU

Media meh:
Texas A&M

Media antagonists:
Tennessee

What Tennessee needs most is for multiple media darlings to lose, some preferably more than once. What Tennessee also needs is for Vol Twitter to go dark. To run deep and silent like a hunter killer submarine. The less that the media hears from the Tennessee rabble, the better.

Just the thoughts of a playoff desperate VFL. (Not actually desperate, not gonna go negavol if we don’t make it). 🤠

14-2 🤠

Well darn it...you promised 15-1.

Heather Dinich has Tennessee ranked #11 and the 1st team out in the bracket predictions for tonight.

Out if all the talking heads, she is most reliable.

There should be 5 SEC teams. We are definitely a top 12 team. This guaranteed spot nonsense is millennial participation award stuff.
