Sounds to me you're wanting to watch an SEC invitational. Same teams playing twice a year.

Tennessee is the only team in SEC I care about, screw Sankey and his money grubbing hands. I don't care if 11 Boise State type teams get in as long as Tennessee gets in .

Same here. I have no love for the corrupt SEC. I am just stating the way it is. The SEC is by far the strongest conference and will dominate any playoff if allowed in. It matters not what I want, we will get an SEC team as champion almost every year, the last two decades prove that out. I have been saying it for 20 years, the only way to stop the SEC from winning the Natty is to keep them out of the game.

Even though the SOS would be comparable between the two, being a part of a P4 conference makes a big difference in how your viewed (Indiana vs Army).

Also, the committee is much more likely to drop a team a ton following a loss than jump a team up by a wide margin following a big win.

Army this year would have done fine in the L10.

Looks? The L10 is vying for position with the SEC for the next contract. They are trying to make it look, at least on paper, like they are on par with the SEC. None of those L10 school in the top 5 will be out, no matter what.

College football is corrupt. There's way too much money involved for it to not be. The game I grew up loving, is gone. Greedy people suck.

No, it has not always been this bad. With the rise in popularity of both tv ratings and gambling the corruption has seen a similar increase. Hate to say it but tv and vegas (the money) run the show now.

They're allowing subjectivity and human biases to mar what could be so easily fixed by allowing a third party, or more specifically an algorithm to choose based on a set of defined rules. Its really simple math.

Unfortunately for UTEP, the committee cited Alabama beating Mercer as being a deciding factor for some reason. So the only option now for us it to absolutely beat the dog**** out of UTEP because that apparently matters now.
