Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I took your post as an implicit position that you agreed with the meme.
Then you committed a fallacy. The meme is funny, because it plays into some of the asinine and inconsistent reasoning the committee has displayed and spoken. Whether they made the argument(s) in the meme or not is kind of irrelevant to the joke. I'll provide a disclaimer on future memes and jokes for you:

"The following fiction depicts a children's cartoon and not a real image or likeness of the committee or their statements."

If you “have no idea” what they said?

If he could have run up the scores in other games this season he would have. We just don’t have the offense to do so this year, outside of the cupcakes. Other teams losing will matter more than the points we score against UTEP and Vandy.
Some games, sure.

He could have scored again vs Miss St, he chose not to.

Well they are playing for a spot in the national championship, not for the championship.

To your point, there isn't 64 teams in basketball deserving of playing for the national Championship.
There are not 25 teams deserving to play further for a spot in the national championship game.

I don’t think you can rightfully compare postseason football to post season bball/baseball. Not as easy to play additional games of football.

I’d say given the state of the program at the time, we are ahead of schedule and not too far off the highest bars. A playoff appearance this year would add to the momentum. The record against Bama and uf better than last 15 years combined before him. Proud of heup and this team and hope they can continue to take bigger steps. Negas need not respond.

Who are the recruits we’re focusing on down the stretch besides current commits?

Campbell
Morris
Perlotte
Merritt

Am I missing anyone? Would love to see us flip an OL but don’t see it right now.

Also are Redmond and Lewis solid? How’s their seasons going? I’ve heard very little about them since they committed.

I think they meant the holidays and not the playoffs, but it works.

November 21, 2024: Refuse to get overwhelmed by the sadness of this season. Take life as it comes and God will give you the grace to navigate through difficult circumstances. Lean on Christ to bring you through to a place of peace. Psalm 46:1-4 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

I know there are several in the RF that place bets and are familiar with betting lines. Have you all seen any projected betting lines of the 12 team matchups?

I’m not even sure if a projected line is a real thing, just curious where Vegas would put a line at for example Tennessee at Penn State or Tennessee at Indiana or Notre Dame.

....... I posted the hypothetical spread vs Indiana but deleted.

Sincerely, what is wrong with you?

I just don't want to answer your question. If you want to know what they said, go look at it yourself.

I’m seeing a lot of hypothetical lines floating around, but I haven’t seen anybody actually taking bets yet. A line you can’t bet isn’t really a line.
