we don't operate like that. kid has to be offered in 9th grade, grown up a Vol fan, been to campus 7-8 times before they can openly declare we are in their top 2, & make their final decision between us and Ole Miss/Auburn/Georgia/Florida/UNC/insert school.

Down 20-17 in the fourth quarter, Jeff Francis hit Terrance Cleveland for their 2nd TD to give the Vols a 24-20 lead. Kentucky marched down the field and had 1st and goal at the 5. Three consecutive runs from Mark Higgs could not get the ‘Cats across the goal line. On 4th down from the one, SEC Defensive Player of the Week, Mike Whitehead, lost his helmet and stopped Higgs short of the goal line. An intentional safety helped preserve the 24-22 Vol victory. Reggie Cobb had 144 yrds rushing and eclipsed the 1,000 yrd barrier for the season.

It really needs to be Alabama or Ole Miss - those are the only teams losing that guarantee us jumping in.

At least a few teams above us HAVE to lose, as they will play each other either to finish regular season or in conference championship games.

Not sure Indiana getting rolled by Ohio State eliminates them. Big 10 will still argue they're a 1-loss team. Kind of like to see Indiana win and give Ohio State a second loss.

That still gets osu in the playoffs.
Indiana losing big and going to the big championship game and losing big again would be best.

No scenario where osu isn’t in unless they lose to both indiana and michigan.

So here’s to rooting for Indiana and michigan.

Indiana losing to Ohio St doesn’t guarantee us.
Conference Game losses won’t eliminate teams in our favor.

I can only think of Oklahoma.

Depends on which version of which team shows up. For as many good halves of football those teams have played they’ve had just as many stinkers, especially on the road.

I can only think of Oklahoma.

I think they’re saying we need to run it up in the next two games. My opinion is that we generally haven’t shown that we’re capable of doing so in SEC play. I don’t know if it even matters at this point. The committee changes criteria week to week.
