He mentioned that the NCAA might be pushing for TN to be excluded from the playoffs due to the court issues. Additionally, he pointed out that the MI AD, who is the chairman of the CFP committee, could be seeking favor with the NCAA since MI is currently under scrutiny.
@Orangeredblooded @InVOLuntary @VolsDoc81TX & @BaldBiker Say "I was here when it started, I'll be here when it ends!"
It's because our games have sucked to watchWrong.
We were the 6th most watched team in 2023...and that was our down year...

If the CFP is about eyeballs on screens, we are right near the top.
We have looked surprisingly inept on offense. I'm still shocked that we went so many quarters without scoring. It's because our games have sucked to watch
We just objectively look worse than all those other teams ahead of us and that's what the committee apparently cares about the most.
We need certain teams to lose and we have to look good against UTEP and Vandy.
Wait, did I miss Sham playing a couple games ago? These announcers do such a horrible job at keeping up with the nuances of the game like who is in, who is out, formations, stuff like thatGlen Elarbee discusses Vols' seniors, youth on offensive line on 'Vol Calls'
See what Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee said Wednesday during his appearance on the Vol Network’s 'Vol Calls' radio show247sports.com
Question coach? Do you see the freshman? I mean, do you actually visually see them? Or are you kept in a separate room under lock key?
Ill hang up and listen...
Yeah that's why even when we beat Bama it was about Bama and not how good we are and we looked particularly awful against Arkansas and it's all on the offense which no one could have guessed. We have looked surprisingly inept on offense. I'm still shocked that we went so many quarters without scoring.
That's not how SOS works at all.SOS is really a bogus stat. It only takes into account the winning percentages of all a teams opponents. I does not factor in level of coemption those teams have faced which makes it pretty meaningless. A teams opponents could have good records but play inferior competition. A team could have opponents with poor win/loss records that played stiff competition.
Comparing teams in a meaningful way would require comps just like real estate appraisals. Neighborhood the house is in has more to do with its value than the square footage. Ex. Indiana is 20,000 sq. ft. home in the hood. Tennessee may be a single wide but its on Mar-a-Lago.
