Recruiting Football Talk VIII

All the BTC talk...I wish I had started mining in 2008/09 when I first was made aware of the whole process.

A guy I knew set up a couple old PCs and mined then...no clue how long he held what he had gotten but if he kept it and sold when things were hot he's for sure a multi-millionaire now.
I told all my mining friends they were idiot nerds falling for a scam. One of many stupid things I've done.

Have we let teams hang around or is that the best we are capable of doing? I am going with the latter and the stats back it up.
We took our foot off the gas offensively in the 2nd half at Norman. Heck, we didn't just take our foot off the gas, we applied the emergency brakes. Our offense hasn't performed even at first half OU levels since. I'm not trying to get into a debate about whether that was the best strategy to win that game. I'm just saying that there is a notable difference in the before that halftime and after.

19 points 184 total yards, only 1 series where we went over 50 yards. Scored just 2 TDs and then 1 FG...

No offense, but you're just flat out wrong.

2nd half against Kentucky was better. 2nd half against Bama was better even the 2nd half/OT against Florida was better.

No offense taken. There were stretches in those 2nd halves that were good. But none was a complete half. I just think dialing the offense back to protect the lead and the QB in that game produced psychological carryover for our offense.

Contrarian to the end.
I was the freakin busdriver when it came to Hooker and his heisman campaign. He fully deserved it.

I just call em like I see it. I presented a comp and stats of both. Just don't see the same argument for Sampson if Harris only finished 5th on a championship team and better stats.

Roster isn't great
Heuepl will never beat Kirby
Bubba and Fla are on the road.
Ita going to be a step back for sure.
The roster is fine, almost the entire defense returns. Peyton Lewis is gonna be great. Our worst group is Oline (losing mays will suck) we’re bringing in the best Oline recruit.

Now do worst loses. We did this to ourselves. Maybe when learn to win in big environments on the road we will leave no doubt.
Does anyone care about worst losses?

Nobody is facing bad teams in the playoffs. Even in March Madness you might run into some meh, even bad teams with the format, FCS teams, and conference tournies.

Not here. You're facing the best of the best. Can you beat them or nah?

Won’t agree with the roster not being great.

I think we beat Florida. Bama will depend on who they grab from the portal at QB, because they ain’t rolling Ty out there.

Dylan Sampson won us a ton of games/kept us in a ton of games and I just don’t see a current RB on the roster to help do that next year if we need it.

We’re gonna need some portal DL. Losing Omari, Lott, Pearce and I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it, I think Josephs may go as well. He’s had a better career than a lot of guys that have been drafted previously that were starters in college.
