Recruiting Football Talk VIII

O line is one of the biggest development positions.
Losing tons of depth on the D line
Linebackers are extremely young.
Good thing we have players that have been developing in the system on the oline. And will have Heard back. Outside of mays losing the other guys will not be an issue. We have plenty more depth on dline. We rotate up to 13 guys on the dline. Losing 4 guys will not be an issue. Telander and Carter will both be juniors next season with a full season of playing time now

Heard isnt good. Lol

Won’t agree with the roster not being great.

I think we beat Florida. Bama will depend on who they grab from the portal at QB, because they ain’t rolling Ty out there.

Dylan Sampson won us a ton of games/kept us in a ton of games and I just don’t see a current RB on the roster to help do that next year if we need it.

We’re gonna need some portal DL. Losing Omari, Lott, Pearce and I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it, I think Josephs may go as well. He’s had a better career than a lot of guys that have been drafted previously that were starters in college.
We're going to be such a menace for the next 4+ years minimum. On top of just beating Bama, UF, winning 10+ a year...

Defensive talent finally coming across the board and stacking top QB talent for years to come.

Enjoy the ride boys and gals 😎

Most of our busts come from his side of the line.
There aren't more because of Nicos legs.
Heard has only allowed 4 pressures since OU. 2 came against Uga. They come from the guards. They’ve been dreadful in pass pro. There’s a reason Heard and Mays are the only 2 that haven’t been benched or rotated

Biggest differences will be the DL and Sampson. Those two are the reason we’re gonna end up 10-2 this season.

We need to grab a stud RB from the portal and get a couple of DL.
DL has some young studs in the pipeline.

RBs are a dime a dozen in this GOAT'd run scheme.

2021:
Small 4.7 YPC
Evans 6.5

2022:
Wright 6.0
Evans 4.7

2023:
Wright 7.4
Sampson 5.7
Small 5.0

2024
Sampson 5.6
Bishop 6.9

(For context you have to go back to 2016 before Heupel arrived to find an RB over 5.4 YPC...now it's every year)

Just worried about how Bishop can hold up if he is the main guy

Lewis is good, but I don’t think he’s gonna be some type of game changer next season.

Heard is only 20. He had one start before this season and came into it hurt. It seems like he’s improved as the year has progressed. I feel pretty good about him coming back healthy as a junior with some experience.

And that just had Pearce highlighted. I wonder how many more have been missed on each of our d-line?!? I wonder how much penalty yardage we didn't get and how many opponents TDs and 1st downs were gained because the refs didn't call it. It's beyond being a bad official.... it's cheating.🧐😡

I hate this narrative that Indiana sucks keeps getting louder and louder before this game. My fear is they come out and jump on Ohio state.
Going to be honest, even with an Indiana lose I think they get in before we do. What the committee is saying/has said makes me believe it will take massive implosion of multiple teams in front of us.......I think if we get in it's only because they literally could not justify keeping us out

I will die on the hill, they want an equal number of SEC and B10 teams.
The only way we get in is for another SEC team.

You can try to spin it however you want but the fact remains..... the Boston Celtics have a better history than the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers. They are the greatest NBA franchise, ever.

Lol. I have no skin in this game. Proud fan of a team relocated in 2001 that was originally a 1995 expansion team.

I dislike the lakers and don't really care up or down about the Celtics.

Just pointing out the 'origin' facts...

18 > 17....also a fact
18-5 >> 17-15...also a fact
