Recruiting Football Talk VIII

So, with all of the chaos last night, does Sankey put a call into the officiating office and elevate Tennessee to favored child status against Vandy? Do we get some calls? If we lose next weekend, SEC could be in jeopardy of only getting 2 teams in the playoff.
I don’t want to resort to sympathy calls against Candy. I wanna hammer them so bad they put Pavia’s face on a milk carton.

Many predict Bama will be at 12. A Vols loss to Vandy along with another loss to a lower seated playoff team, would get them in.

I thought he was from Crossville/Cookeville
Bill Napier (Billy’s dad) was the OC my junior and senior year at Livingston Academy. 1980-1981. Billy was a toddler at the time about 1 year old in 1981. I believe the Napiers actually lived in Cookeville. ( about 20 miles from Livingston). Several of my female classmates actually babysat little Billy at the time.

The dad (Bill) was a great guy also. He played football at Celina when he was in high school. He moved his family to Georgia after he got a head coaching HS job soon after I graduated high school

It’s hard for me to root against Florida will Billy there. But I still manage to.

Vandy Hate Weeks has started...............

"George Cafego hated Vanderbilt University with a Big Orange Passion. He taught us the dislike and the understanding of never losing to (his words) the “Commode-a-Dores.”

He had many names for Vanderbilt like Jr. Harvard, the Tee Sippers, the Blue Bloods on the Boulevard and later Peabody U."

Never forget! They are the sole reason Neyland was hired.

I have an amazing wife. She grew up in the northeast, and didn’t appreciate college football when we first met. Today, my years of hard work paid off. Laying in bed, just woke up, and the first thing she says: "how is Georgia a lock for the SEC championship, and we're not part of the conversation?"

the dream. My NYC born and raised gf is slowly, very slowly, coming around to it.

last night she said, "so the vols beat texas and they aren't #1 now?"

"babe, thats utep, not texas"

still love her but 😅
