Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Whaaaat?

Who in the world would you pile in above them? A bunch of 3 loss SEC and ACC teams?
Yeah with all stuff from yesterday, it'll be impossible not to get them in. Resume wise, there's an argument. But they're have a great opportunity to play for the SEC... No way they're left out. Could they drop? Oh yeah. But they're in.

I also preferred acid to shrooms overall and also did not like the stomach irritation as I already have IBS. I really like 4-ACO-DMT as it metabolizes into psilocin without the chitin which bothers your stomach and the other, mildly hallucinogenic, entourage chemicals which shrooms contain. Some people call it clean shrooms or space age shrooms for that reason while some may prefer shrooms as the other constituents make it "earthier". The visuals are more intense for me than acid was and are a bit more electric compared to shrooms. It still makes my body feel kind of weak like shrooms though which I do not like. Acid is definitely more energetic and, to my mind, more philosophical. I've also had some intense, weird sex on acid.

Had a few good trips on shrooms. One where like 30 of us went to a waterfall all tripping and me and a friend came to the conclusion we could control the movement and shape of the clouds with our minds. And another where my friend who was driving down the interstate and I felt the entire world flip 90 degrees and it felt like his car was going to fall off the side of the earth. I have no idea how he drove home but neither of us could get out of his car for about 3 hours without falling to the ground and crawling back to the car :) And our other friend made the interesting statement, "Wow, it's like a red, electic, fishnet is covering the entire world". A few years later I was studying Neural Networks and my professor, who always delved far deeper into the processing layers of the mind and the type of filtering that needs to occur to various stimuli before feeding it to a Neural Network than most researchers, was talking about the blind spot in our eyes but also mentioned that we've learned to filter out the sight of blood vessels in front of our retina. And it immediately hit me that this was what my friend was seeing!! Huxley also talked a lot about the things we filter out of consciousness in Doors of Perception. I recall he mentioned that a friend's wife talked about all these beautiful things she was seeing in the world which she had never noticed and they did not realize she was in the early stages of schizophrenia and perhaps some of those filters are needed for survival.

4-ACO-DMT and MET are the only research chemicals I've tried. MET is supposed to be very similar to DMT when freebased but the batch I bought was fumerate and I haven't attempted to convert to freebase. Glad to hear you survived 30 hits of acid!! That's a truly radical amount to take. It's my understanding, and has been my experience, that you can only reach a certain peak on acid relative to it's quality, and taking more just extends that peak. So I imagine that was an insanely long trip!!
I love early Pink Floyd as well and it's sad what happened to Syd. But I also love Gilmour and think he's one of the greatest guitarists ever. Saw them play Astronomy Domine on the Division Bell tour which was truly unexpected and awesome!! I'm also a big fan of Black Sabbath (Ozzy and Dio eras), Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, and Tangerine Dream. Also love Blackmore's Rainbow with Dio. On Stage is one of the best live albums I've ever heard. Hendrix, Santana, and Ozric Tentacles are some other bands I enjoy.

It's been great conversing with you as well. Thanks for the great vibes and I wish the same to you!! Hope you also stay safe on any future trips.

It's amazing the things you notice on LSD that you ignore in a normal mindset. It is fascinating to know that ignoring things not critical to survival is an evolutionary trait and I can only imagine your "aha" moment on realizing that your friend was seeing the veins in his retina! That's an impressive connection you made. I have also had similar experiences with intense car rides and feeling the movement of the earth and noticing its curvature and magnetic polarization. Clouds were always fun for me as well but I never had a sense of control over them....I would just notice that the patterns they formed were not nearly as random as I usually assumed.

My main thing was seeing energy waves constantly and how all matter was connected to them. I would experiment with how energy waves from my body would interact with and effect other people's, animals and even certain electricity powered object's energy waves.

I freaked a buddy out once because we noticed a light fixture on my ceiling above us that started acting strange while I was talking. He asked me if I could see the waves flowing back and forth between me and the light fixture. I was shocked that he noticed it like I always did and said "watch this". I then looked up and focused on the lights and said "flicker" and both light bulbs in the fixture did. His already dilated pupils got huge and he said "No way, that didn't happen". My response was "Yes it did" as I looked back up and said "flicker" and both did it again. I did it about a dozen more times and it would react every time but only when I was focusing on it and it never did it without my focus.

He started to freak a little so I told him to relax and asked if he wanted to try it. He agreed so I focused on him and we both could see the energy waves start coming from me to him and then going back and forth between us. I told him to focus on the lights and use the energy to control it, which he did a few times successfully but it was a little much for him to handle so we stopped shortly after. I still can't really explain it but I felt totally in control of my environment on that trip (and many others). He was one of .y few friends who dosed enough to get past the giggles and have more control over his experiences.

My favorite interactions were with animals. Birds, squirrels and other common wild animals would act differently and land beside me or approach very close to me and seemed very interested. They weren't afraid and it was like the animalistic, instinctual part of my being was reaching out to let them know I wasn't a threat and they acted completely comfortable with me and approached closely in a way that never has happened when not tripping.

Cats could really sense it and reacted to it the most but they usually did not seem to like it....I assume it was a threat to their independent predatory instincts and they would behave cautiously submissive toward me and often wanted to stay away from me. Some would react with hostility and then flee even if they were normally friendly and loving toward me under normal circumstances. Dogs usually didn't seem to notice or care as much except for breeds like Huskies and normally wary strays would immediately go belly up for no reason with just a look when they avoided me at "normal" times.

I think that most modern humans have lost our understanding of how much animals sense intentions and dominance just by the energy we give off by body language, the way our muscles are tensed or relaxed and how we look at and initiate eye contact with them.

It's a strange and beautiful world/universe that we live in and our primitive ancestors understood that in ways we have mostly lost. I'm not surprised that we are starting to realize that humans were capable of amazing things thousands of years ago that we assumed weren't possible until recently. Fascinating stuff and great talk!

Make no bones Hella pressure heading into Nashvegas. Must win
Yup USCjr is the only team to really pummel them. Texas won by 3, Bama lost, LSU could only win by 7 at home.

This could be a nailbiter. But hopefully we come out gangbusters like we did vs UGA and then our talent advantage carries the day comfortably.

One can hope. We need Neyland West 90% O&W. Totally dominate the stadium even more than usual. Hopefully the loss to LSU kills their sails some too.

who says we gotta limit G5 to one team haha
That's a serious discussion at this point.

The top 5 ranked conference champs could leave the Big 12 out 👀

It's time to get real. There's a power 2, a mini ACC, then G5 level conferences. Stop the 4 byes. I'm fine with 4 champions in, but not with byes. BS.

You can’t just ignore the reason why we did it. We did it for a good reason…
Actually I could, but I am not. I said I wasn't going to debate it. What they did is one way to deal with the problem at hand. It was not the only way they could have chosen to address it. There is no way now to know which would have been best. Hence, why argue about an unknowable. But even if it was the best choice for that game, that doesn't preclude it from having other effects down the road. That is really the only point I am trying to articulate.

Not suggesting we don't have limitations, just saying there are other triage options.

From one fellow southerner who is also married to a northeasterner, how long did it take and what is the blueprint? 😅 My wife doesn’t like sports all that much as it is, but especially doesn’t like football, so I may just be out of luck.

My last great plan is to get my two young daughters onboard and then mom will have no choice. Wish me luck!
Hahaha. Good plan. The kids being excited about gameday has definitely helped. As far as timeline is concerned…it’s taken a few years. She was always a passive fan (would go to games/watch games with me), but we have a better product on the field lately. She’s locked in.

WTF. How many games would Bama have to lose for ESPN to stop promoting them to make the playoffs?

4 or 5? 😂
Committee logic: “Home Bama” is undefeated and a playoff caliber team. “Road Bama” is a sub-.500 tire fire. Therefore, obviously we need to put Home Bama in the playoffs as a top-8 seed to host.

UGA #6 UT #7 Miami #8

Bigger gap between us and UGA than between us and #11 Boise St.

But I'll take being securely in 2nd tier and #7.

People can say it doesn't, but CFP committee are human and will have anchoring biases. The AP and coaches' polls coming out early, and being favorable to us each week, should help cement in their minds that Indiana belongs behind us 😁

Am surprised ND didn't jump PSU. ND looked utterly dominant in a ranked game. PSU was lucky to escape big bad Minnesota...

Now we hope USC does to ND next week what they nearly did to PSU midseason. Traveling all the way to the coast ain't easy

Oh, Gosh. Heather Dinich’s playoff prediction has UT as a 9 seed going back to Athens to play 8 seed Georgia…
That's how it should look TOMORROW, if everyone moves up in tandem and IU is left behind us.

And yet just as meaningless as being "paired with" Indiana a couple weeks ago.

2 weekends of games left, none of it is real rn. UGA gtd to go to Atlanta, alone, means a lot will change. Along with about a dozen other games.

BTW, your knowledge on this topic is very impressive. Mine is just firsthand with some reading/research but I can tell your knowledge is very in depth.
