Everyone knows that recruiting against Ohio State is easy. They don’t have any resources or anything like we have at Tennessee. They just have twice the enrollment and twice the alumni but I think they are all unemployed and poor so they can’t donate any money to NIL. Also, Heupel should just pay whatever it takes to keep a high school kid regardless of the cost or what impact it might have on the rest of the team culture. Sounds like a solid plan. Heupel has earned the right to run the program like he sees fit and certainly deserves our support for bringing us back from the abyss. I literally can’t fathom how anyone could get so twisted up about the whims of a high school kid. I will cheer for the ones we get and forget about the ones we don’t. Beat Vandy Saturday and go to the playoffs but some still want to complain. Try Joy.

Vandy came to Knoxville at the end of a disappointing year. In a way to motivate the team, Coach Majors layed out All Orange uniforms (1st time in school history). The decision worked, as the Vols scored 21 second quarter points and routed the ‘Dores 42-7. Jimmy Streater ran for 3 TDs and passed for another. Greg Jones made his last game his best game. The SR linebacker had 19 tackles, 6 assists, and interception, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup!

The externals of this Vandy game have me a bit nervous. Early game, cold and dreary. I’m not saying Vandy outright wins the game but our boys better come off the blocks fast and finish drives, no stall outs. No 1Q woeful starts. Gotta put up 2 scores at least in 1Q. This is gonna be a dogfight probably for 4Q. Vandy gonna play with a little extra pep in their step knowing they can eliminate us from the CFP. I know our coaches will prepare our boys to be locked in but these are still 18-22yo and they can easily get distracted.

But Vandy's fading fast this season. Pretty obvious they lack depth to grind an entire season and also shows defenses have figured out their gimmick.

Last 4 games they've gone 1-3 and their offense has failed to reach 300 total yards in 4 of the games. The 4th game they hit 308 total yards.

If we are all being honest our schedule has been about as favorable as anyone could hope. Playing Bama and UF at home. Playing OK early, playing Vandy late. The one exception was UGA on the road, but if we win AR we would be playing them in SECC.

Totally agree with 3 lost UGA. Skanky has said they want to protect SECCG loser and he could sell 3 lose UGA. To be fair big10 wants the same for their conference championship game loser.
