UT is a lock to get in. They just had to win today.Man you just never know at this point. They already said they won’t penalize championship game losers, in your scenario they do SMU and don’t UGA…
Personally I think we should be in but there’s a scenario where they have to pick UT over other big schools
smu not guaranteedNightmare scenario coming into play….. Say TAMU beats Texas tonight and then wins next week against UGA. Clemson beats SMU in ACC championship…. You now have 2 conference champs at 10-3. SMU, UGA would be in the playoff, I don’t think Clemson or TAMU get in with 4 losses. Now you have a ton of 2 loss teams after the other bids. So you have..
5 auto bids.
ND 1 loss
Indiana 1 loss
PSU/Oregon loser
UGA
SMU…
That leaves 2 spots for 4 2 loss teams
Tennessee, Texas, Miami, OSU.
Scary proposition here
Not for us. TN is 100% in. There’s no argument to be had about them not getting a spot.Nightmare scenario coming into play….. Say TAMU beats Texas tonight and then wins next week against UGA.
