That would be trash! And that would be exact proof about why you can’t have a standing AD from a power 4 conference be the chairman! Sankey will riot for us if we aren’t hosting before OSU. Their 2nd loss is way worse than ours and it’s not even close!

They've lost to Oregon and Michigan. We lost to Arkansas and Georgia. Oregon would be seen as a better loss than Georgia, and Michigan would be seen as a better loss than Arkansas. Michigan finishes the season at 7-5. Arkansas finishes at 6-6. And I'm pretty sure on the individual talent comparison, Michigan would beat Arkansas.

That said, I still think we should be ahead of Ohio State. My reasoning is based on the later the loss in the season, the more it dings you. Also think we should move ahead of Georgia after their upteen OT win over GA Tech that they should have lost. But, we're Tennessee, and everyone loves to screw Tennessee.

Also, ESPN hates us.

I wish our team would have gotten that upset when Oklahoma planted their flag on our field back when Mayfield was in town.

Three easiest ways for us to host a playoff game.

1) Ohio State falls behind us in rankings. Not sure why they wouldn't. This is not a good offensive team. The QB is pedestrian and turns the ball over. The WR's are their best players, and he cannot get them the ball. They have suffered bad injuries to their OL and we saw what that did against their last 2 opponents (terrible performances against Indiana and Michigan). Thier stats against Indiana were padded with that last 45-yard run after the failed onside kick. This Ohio State team is very much like Vandy but with more talent. They rely on their defense and special teams to take the ball away and score.

2) Penn State loses by 14 or more and doesn't look great in the process. Again, this could very well happen. Penn State plays good defense, but that QB will face a defense for the first time since Ohio State this Saturday. For me, Penn State is similar to Texas A&M, Auburn, and South Carolina. I think they are better than Auburn at QB.

3) Georgia gets beaten by 7 or more vs Texas. Or Georgia blows out Texas. If this is a tight game, I do not think either will be penalized.

Realistically, I think the odds would favor us best in #2, then #3. I do not think a committee full of BIG homers will drop Ohio State below us. After all, they have "Huge wins" over Penn State and Indiana.

Any team involved in one of the flag planting brawls should be punished by being excluded from the playoffs. No need to award that bad behavior....

Going to the playoffs and we still have not played a complete SEC game. Look at all the mistakes plus having the worst of Sankey's cheating "officiating" crews. Still dominated starting in the second quarter. If Banks had not decided to practice his bad zone in garbage time it would have been a three score win on the road against a SEC bowl team.

ST's got lazy with the kick off coverage, need to upgrade with a couple of better headhunters on it as well. Eck will fix it.

Can a coach get in the heads of the edge rushers to make them break down on their pass rushes? The blow bys are ridiculous.

Nico has improved a lot lately and the game is slowing down for him. He is also much more confident running it now.

Play calling at times is still puzzling. I wish they would use the 12 personnel package more with two downs to make 5 yards.

We can stop with the receivers cannot catch the ball stuff.

I would take no D-back in the country over McCoy and Boo. Incredible talents and competitors.

Great first season. The second season begins and we are in it to win it. Go Vols!

I know the committee probably did not watch our game considering the Michigan vs Ohio State game was on, but if they didn't, I hope the at least look at the box score and not just the final score. This was as comprehensive a victory that could occur. This Vandy team beat Alabama and played Texas and Missouri to 3-point losses. They lost by 1 score at LSU. They had not been dominated like this all year. This was in their stadium, on senior day, and we gifted them a 14-0 lead. This is a beat down.

100%. I was watching a segment on ESPN earlier this week and went nuts when Ja'Marr Chase had no idea who LSU was playing this weekend. Made it seem like these kids are just playing for themselves and a paycheck without any school concern, like mercenaries. The rest of the segment was better with most players knowing who they were playing, so whatever.

Watching so many players incensed over flags yesterday was excellent because it shows they actually give a damn about their school.
