Recruiting Football Talk VIII

If all things are equal, H2H should be the final determining factor. All things aren’t equal here, though. SC’s body of work is just better. No bad losses. Some good wins. Bama has 2 bad losses. Ole Miss has the worst loss of any team in the playoff discussion. Using H2H as a significant measure just because the three teams have the same record doesn’t look at the full picture / body of work.
So are we doing the best or most deserving?

Best: ole piss > uscE (result wasnt close)

Most deserving: ole piss < uscE (better overall resume)

When you have a corrupt selection process, you get people (fans, media, coaches, commissioners) clamoring to their own subjectivity, rather than following a strict and transparent protocol that every team has to adhere to.

Its by no mistake its this way. Its done on purpose. It happens with after season awards (mvp’s, all-conference nominees, award winners, etc) too.

If they make less parameters, they will backdoor people/teams/you name it into the group of others too. Us as people will go the xtra mile for things we like or benefit from. In this scenerio, its the bama’s and osu’s.

SIAP. I heard Ben McKee state on the GoVols247 podcast that Heupel is only the third coach in Tennessee history to have multiple 10+ win seasons.

General Neyland
Phillip Fulmer
Josh Heupel

Not a bad list

Heupel doing it coming out of a dumpster fire and in arguably the most difficult era of SEC football.
