Recruiting Football Talk VIII

New OT rules I propose: 2 red zone possessions, 2 2pt conversions, then field goal kicking from 30, 40, 50

If still tied, each team's punter kicks from the opposite 35. The punt that downs closest to the goal line wins the game.

Test ALL phases🤣
How about just play another quarter of. . . football. It takes as long as a quarter in this format anyway.

Penn State Defense....

Wisconsin is 108th of 134 teams in PPG
West Virginia is 64th of 134 teams in PPG
UCLA is 126th of 134 teams in PPG
Purdue is 130th of 134 teams in PPG
Illinois is 62nd of 134 teams in PPG
Maryland is 101st of 134 teams in PPG
Washington is 110th of 134 teams in PPG
Kent State is 134th of 134 teams in PPG
USC is 52nd of 134 teams in PPG
Bowling Green is 74th of 134 teams in PPG
Minnesota is 81st of 134 teams in PPG
Ohio State is 17th of 134 teams in PPG

So 12 games and 1 top 50 offensive team in ppg faced. But managed to face 6 teams outside the top 100.

We faced 3 top 50 offensive teams in ppg. Arkansas (49th), Bama (16th), & Georgia (25th) and just 3 that were outside the top 100 (UTEP, Kentucky & Kent State). Chattanooga obviously not a FBS school they averaged 25 ppg, which would have been inside the top 100.

Do you still have them walking the length of the field after each OT period?

We lose a potential power factor not currently on the roster and not seemingly a makeup of our signees. Lewis would be closest. We’ll hear his name again and there will be the usual wistful “How and why…” threads. 😏

Bruh, you're suggesting college adopt the NFL OT? The one EVERYONE hates?!

Booooo
No. Just another quarter of football. No sudden death, no 2pt conversions for an hour, no timeout every 3 plays, no walking the field every minute of gameplay. Just more. . . football. You play 4 quarters, if it's tied, just keep playing.

Somebody hit this whiny loser in the head with a mustard bottle or a golf ball or something.
The only time I have listened to Lane and not wanted to punch him (including when he was our coach) was when he did that call in show with his wife while he was at Alabubba. Now that was a good show, wish I could remember what it was called.

Nah, I rebuke this. 1. Injuries are more likely during exhaustion. 2. Each team will get different possession opportunities.

College football overtime is the best football overtime system. Imo they shouldn't have changed it to 2pt conversion but here we are.

He's signing today and submitting paperwork to UT, but info won't be released. Next week is the school ceremony and holding off announcing until then. At least that's the way I understand it.
No way Ohio State doesn’t leak it if it isn’t them.

How does uga have eight 5 star RBs in the depth chart and nobody transferring and our 4th in line guy is gonzo? Not a big loss here I’m just curious how you keep a stable of studs. Maybe we should tamper and get Branson or Roderick for the lolz
