You have to have some charisma at the college level to recruit. I don’t doubt that he would get some talent, but coaches who don’t want to play the game aren’t very successful. That doesn’t even include relationships with your boosters.

I'd be surprised if Carolina wants to hire another head coach that old. They'd be looking for another new head coach again in the near future.

I was just thinking about a situation that could occur this year. Let’s say Jared Goff gets hurt between now and some time in the playoffs. Hendon Hooker takes over. Just imagine the legend and lore that would be created around him if he won the Super Bowl in Detroit with their history.

Joking aside, my guess is we reevaluate anyone still unsigned after tomorrow and decide whether we want to pursue any for the February signing period. Portal officially opens on Monday, and closes for entry on Dec 29th, IIRC. We'll see who we lose, and that will probably shape our portal and further high school recruiting. All that while preparing for the playoffs. Coaches have a busy month ahead of them.
