Recruiting Football Talk VIII

UNC is among many other lower tier schools in the country that are well on their way to selling their souls to the devil(Private Equity) for extra cash because of all this realignment business.
We are truly blessed to have a program rich in tradition and money and to have an AD that is creating new revenue sources to help us when we have to start paying these players directly through revenue sharing.

Yet, people are still complaining about a fuel station logo on our field and high ticket prices when there’s other schools that are quite literally selling their futures down the river.
For any who don't feel a shiver when the words "private equity" cross their eyes or ears... three resources:

Letting a private equity firm into college football is like inviting termites to share the food on your picnic table.

BTW: there's nothing left wing vs. right wing in this discussion. This is a law & order, freedom & sovereignty issue that effects everyone who earns less than a billion dollars/year.

Dang. . .

My favorite driver all-time.
R.I.P. Scott Bloomquist

Did he drive the #0 late model, dirt track car with the ying yang sign in the middle of the 0? IIRC, it was black and neon green.

I saw him at Bristol the 1st time they put dirt on the track. Heck of a driver.

We let the 10 other upperclassmen get all the reps last season. Jourdan Thomas was supposed to slide back there once Boo were ready, of course that’s now off the table. Jakobe Thomas I guess is struggling with the jump in competition, it happens. We did well, would much rather be talking about safety than left tackle. It’ll be fine, but with that being said, expect Lagonza to see the field day 1 next season.
Thanks for the updated, I had forgotten Jourdan was going to try and fill the safety spot. Hopefully our D line and LB's will create enough disruption and stress on the QB regularly not to give them time for something to develop...

With Carter having another year under his belt and a healthy, focused Pili, I think this position group is going to turn heads and not be accounted for by other teams early in the season. I think we see a big improvement there... excited to see Carter and Telander continue to grow and develop... Need another stud though with Pili leaving... maybe the portal will play nice after this season.

Yeah. His cars are called "zero". The drove 18 for years. Probably the best dirt track driver of all-time.

I've got a neon green hat & shirt he signed back in the early 90s it a 411 race.
