Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Yep. If this were at home or even neutral site, I'd be guaranteeing a Tennessee win. We're definitely the better team on paper, but we're just so freaking bad on the road.
We lost by 7 to the #2 in the country in a must win game. I don't think we're as bad on the road as people make us out to be.

It’s still hard for me to fathom that the Committee just basically ignored Notre Dame’s historic loss to NII. I know that in a 12-team field, losses like that will be forgiven more often, but it really shouldn’t be.

If you lose on your home field to a bottom feeder from the MAC where you were favorited by 35-40, you shouldn’t get a mulligan.

That first ice cold tackle wakes every fiber of your body up. It’s a nice feeling. I loved playoff weather… 4th quarter feels much better when your body temperature is cooler
your body doesnt work nearly as hard to stay cool. I always thought it felt good in the cold weather. The only thing that sucked was breathing in the cold air.

Other than Oregon, they didn't allow more than 17 points to anyone all year. Couple that with how bad we are on the road, and we will definitely not score a lot of points. Take the under in this game whatever it is.
Now list the teams they held to those point totals:

Northwestern
Purdue
Nebraska
Iowa
Marshall
WMU
Akron
Mich St
Penn St
Michigan

The only one that would have had a chance to score more than 17 to us on that list is Penn St.

Not exactly a murderers row of offenses.

i've always been told your body works over time in cold. multiply that by 3 if in teens, wet, and in high altitude. in fact in that scenario, it's over.

Morons. This whole 'we're not gonna schedule hard ooc games then'argument holds no water. Nobody got held out because of losing an ooc game.

Miami, Bama, USCe and Ole miss all lost conf games... So quit whining.

😀
If anything it will hurt them worse because they won't have a big win to lean on (like UGA v Clemson) if they drop 2+ conf games
